I really wish she'd f**k off and give others a chance. adele this, adele that, I don't care anymore. well, tbf, I never really cared to start with.

OTT and unnecessary.

-_-

'Give others a chance' it really isnt it her fault she is selling so much, and is the biggest artist right now, deserved but she certainly isnt stopping anyone else they just arent selling more then her, fact.

yes, you're quite right - after all, Avril Lavigne needs all the space she can get in the charts right now, wouldn't you say?

I'd have loved for the people saying that they are sick of Adele to have been around when the likes of Bryan Adams/Whitney Houston/Wet Wet Wet were number one in the 90s, but if Buzzjack had been around then people on here would have been really really angry.

So 9 weeks confirmed pretty much. :w00t:

Britney Spears – Femme Fatale

Emin - Wonder

Harry Connick Jnr - In Concert On Broadway

Mary Byrne - Mine & Yours

Panic! At the Disco - Vices & Virtues

Peter, Bjorn And John - Gimme Some

Radiohead - The King Of Limbs

Sum 41 - Screaming Bloody Murder

The Pains Of Being Pure Heart - Belong

Within Temptation - The Unforgiving

Wiz Khalifa - Rolling Papers

I think she is easily going to go for 10 weeks too, no way will Britney sell over 100,000 and none of the others will :o :o 10 weeks????

What do you guys think, the highlighted ones are top 10 contenders, or ones to look out for but none #1 potential imo.

Mary Byrne won't sell over 100k so she will probably be #2 or #3 and then drop like a stone.

Ronan Keating could well increase in sales in Mother's Day week and go to #2, but he won't sell more than Adele as she'll get the MD boost as well - for both albums :o

Based on how well the singles have done - I expect Britney to chart around #5, selling 35-40k.

I don't mind '21' staying at number one for ages (well, not half the year hopefully!) - I hope SLY doesn't, though. I can see why people like it but I'm very, very bored of it now. There are far superior songs on the album. Assuming SLY is #1 this week (its 5th week), will it be likely to get a 6th or 7th week?

EDIT: Radiohead should sell over 50k, which would usually be enough for #1 - but not this time! Maybe #4.

I don't think she'll get anywhere near that high, tbh. I think Top 20, at best.

Here are the contenders to knock her off until May 22nd (Lady GaGa has a guarenteed album No.1 im sure)

Britney Spears – Femme Fatale

Katy B - On A Mission

Wiz Khalifa - Rolling Papers

Glee Cast - The Music Vol 5

Jennifer Lopez – Love?

Lady Gaga – Born This Way (May 22)

So I don't think she'll get knocked off by a new entry till GaGa but she could before May 22nd (another 8 weeks) lose record sales a bit and someone else will overtake her (Rihana probably) I think but don't hope lol :)

Adele's sales wont stay over 100,000 for the whole year guys, her sales are am azing, and by next week already 1,500,000 so could sell 3,000,000 by end of year, with 3rd single, more huge promo and massive sales at xmas.

99.9% sure, actually 100% sure it'll be #1 for 10th week on Sunday.

104 votes :o Most saying more then 11 :w00t: That would be mindblowing.

Can genuinely see her number one the week Foo Fighters release... I mean who manages to stay above 150k for a 9th week at No. 1?

Err, the only genuine challenge she has for the #1 until GaGa is Foo Fighters in 2 weeks' time...

So 10th week is again in the bag! :w00t: What an achivement, exceptional!
The thing that is most exceptional about her [almost!] 10 weeks at #1 is the fact she has done it each week with massive sales - I mean if she was getting it each week with 40k of sales it wounld not be as special but the fact she's smashing the 100k barrier every week is truly incredible.

Thats the amazing thing, 10 weeks straight six figure sales AMAZING.

114 votes, and still most think more then 11 weeks :o

I'm thinking 17 weeks, with GaGa finally knocking her off.

So for sure 11 weeks confirmed today (pretty obvious right) so next week will determine if she can actually get more then 11 weeks, this is seriously phenomenal.
I think Foo Fighters could bring her reign to an end next week- it depends on her sales this week

Even so - I could see her reclaiming the top spot until Lady GaGa.

  • 4 weeks later...

So everyone who voted MORE actually were correct, even though the 11 weeks were consecutive. So she's going for her 14th week at #1 this week? :o :o :o
