-2 I Believe

Poor year, I like all of the 10 songs I voted for but Gangsta's Paradise is the only *really* good song on that list. I would give my -2 to Think Twice but I Believe can never be forgiven for denying Wonderwall of #1.

33 votes so far! For a while a few songs were quite close for the last 2 automatic final spots but now there's a pretty 'clear' top 4 forming.

Still 22 hours for any more votes. Although I'm not expecting many more, again everyone votes so early  Not that I mind, it's just funny when we have 48 hours!

Think Twice denied N-Trance of #1 though :o Some would say that's a much bigger sin!

I Believe also denied Everything But The Girl - Missing technically, too - if you ignore Coolio standing in the way at #2, also

Conclusion: There were way too many good #2s/#3s in 1995. This could have been possibly the greatest year for #1s ever - instead it's merely 'good'.

1. Missed Oasis pun opportunity. :P

2. You mean gooddelta :kink: Set You Free is alright but I Believe denying Wonderwall is a far bigger injustice.

I don't think I've ever even heard 'Missing', I might have heard it and not realised what it was but it doesn't ring any immediate bells.

The stupid Fugees denied 1996 of having the three best #1s ever. It still had the two best #1s ever but if Underworld had done it as well... :(

I gave my -2 to Unchained Melody on the sole basis that it denied Common People from being #1.

gooddelta? I don't know. I was just talking about any random dance fan  I prefer Set You Free to Wonderwall, anyway. The latter is good but I think Some Might Say is better so I wouldn't change their chart fortunes in 1995 on my personal opinion. Although I can appreciate Wonderwall perhaps deserved #1 on classic status alone.

Missing is one of the essential mid-90s house hits! I think it's one of those songs almost everyone knows but doesn't perhaps know the artist, though.

And whilst I agree that Born Slippy would have been a great #1, I LOVE the Fugees so it's not a huge injustice for me. Although they had already been #1 for four weeks at that point so they could have just given it to Underworld.

And just as an fyi, next time you call the Fugees stupid, please say Fugees (minus Lauryn Hill) to avoid breaking my heart. Thanks.

I have indeed. My mum used to play that song all the time, I'm very familiar with it. Not sure if I like it or not...

Sorry, they're not stupid :kink: They're just stupid in the context of denying Born Slippy of #1 is all

5 hours left for voting.

There's currently a tie for 2nd place :o Not that it matters as both will go through but it would be nice for someone to break it as ties are ugly and messy ;_;

It's still possible that the last wildcard spot could change to another song, but everything else is pretty much certain at this point.

Interesting year for me, some great no.1's and some real stinkers! No middle ground songs for me here!
