Well, I half agree with that (the female, singing half, of course). ;)

Yet another song I'll have to do some snippage on, before it'll get on my iPod...

Because we've all been suffering withdrawal symptoms due to the lack of charting urban songs, recently?

With On the Floor, I think you're in luck, because there's some non-rap versions of it and they're actually going to be released this time (on the EP, I think). I hate it when they have non-rap versions of the song and don't release them. It just seems so pointless. They clearly exist, because they get played on the radio, and all they're doing is losing some sales.

But if they can be cherry-picked from the EP, then they're not really lost sales...

No, because you're being ignorant and generalising massively.

Yeah, exactly.

I was saying, there's songs were no-rap versions exist. Like California Gurls, Price Tag, Start Without You, etc. They must exist, because I heard them on the radio. Yet you can't buy them anywhere. They're not on an EP or anything. So I meant I can't see the point of them not being up for sale. I can't see any disadvantage of it. They'd've got a few extra sales if those no-rap versions had been up for sale, so I just can't see the logic behind that tbh.

With On the Floor, if there are non-Pitbull versions on the EP, which I think there will be, then you're right, they're not going to lose sales. I just can't understand why they didn't do that with the other songs.

Have my smileys became invisible again, or should I put a sense of humour on your next birthday list? ;)

Its going to be the quietest week, apart from the unofficial CR track, and probably the new track from Cee Lo.

107. I Know Him So Well (feat. Susan Boyle & Geraldine McQueen) - Comic Relief & Peter Kay

Oh dear, why did they have to credit this so confusingly... :(

As per the single cover I'm going to credit it as 'Peter Kay and Comic Relief pt. Susan Boyle and Geraldine'. Geraldine's last 2 releases didn't have the surname so for consistency I'm not crediting it here either. But then Peter Kay gets two credits  Meh, I've allowed Nicole Scherzinger to essentially have two credits on Jai Ho!, I'll have to do it here as well. And 'Comic Relief' isn't an artist... but then again neither is 'Shout For England'. Sigh. Confuzzling.

By the way, it's not showing up yet but I wouldn't rule out Wolf Gang - Dancing With The Devil charting fairly well.

106. Bass Cannon - Flux Pavilion

'Bass Cannon' was used a lot on Chris Moyles' marathon show. I heard on the radio last night it was scheduled for release in April but brought forward due to public demand, so I assume it's a new release. Would be great to see it in the top 40 :D

Bray they've probably credited it with four different names (Comic Relief, Peter Kay, Susan Boyle, Geraldine McQueen) so when people search any one of those names it'll come up, in result boosting sales for them.

Havent heard it yet, and not looking forward to it.

How on earth has Avril did so bad she was 15 this time last week now she's 41 :|

Fair enough but on the single cover it still credits all 4 where there's no need to... ah well. :(

Hopefully #1 next week anyway :D

Peter Kay, Matt Lucas and The Proclaimers spent 3 weeks at #1 and Girls Aloud Vs Sugababes spent a week at #1 the week before them for comic relief too.

I wonder if The Wanted have made it (doubtful) and I wonder if Subo and McQueen can make it  Havent heard it yet, but it cant be good can it? Good cause though!

I'm assuming the Peter Kay song will seel a lot of physicals?

If Peter Kay's previous charity efforts are anything to go by, yes, it should 'seel' (:kink:) massive amounts of physicals.

That's where the contribution to CR will come from. Its a DVD/CD isn't it - and this is appreciated for the video as much as the song (Susan's ever expanding hair and the bit where she's getting smaller on the escalator!) It makes more money for CR for 1,000 to sell at £3.99 than 1,000 at 79p (or whatever a download is). I doubt those behind CR care about chart position - it'll be the money for the cause that counts.

This week's chart will be duller than Quinn Fabray and Sam Evans put together :(

There's both a CD and a DVD getting released, so that should help it sell well and raise money.

2007 was a great year for quite a few weeks at #1, 10 for Rihanna, 7 for Leona, 4 for Sugababes, 4 for Sean Kingston 3 for Peter Kay, 3 for Beyonce & Shakira, 3 for Leon Jackson list goes on. (on 4music now )

2008 opened well too

5 weeks for Basshunter

5 weeks for Duffy

4 weeks Estelle

:o Bit boring though 14 weeks only 3 songs #1

Nice to see Adele have 4 weeks at #1, its been a long while since we've had a #1 fdor that long. I doubt she'll be #1 for a 5th week, but may return to iTunes #1.
