August 18, 201113 yr I quite liked the Volta cover, quite striking and the way there are lots of unnecessary russian doll style sleeves is rather wonderful too. Although the sticker confused me (clearly easily done) on the front, I ended up cutting her in half!
August 19, 201113 yr http://www.mmparis.com/biophilia_300.gif OOF. Also, I loved the 'Volta' cover! :(
August 19, 201113 yr That is a great cover. Volta, on the other hand, had an absolutely hideous cover. Coming from someone who has made some amazing covers in the past, it was just shocking.
August 19, 201113 yr AMAZING Volta was brilliant too! It was totally her, nobody else. And it fit together with the music quite well.
August 21, 201113 yr http://i55.tinypic.com/1ibh2s.jpg Absolutely stunning. The Haus of Gaga must be sick with envy. Astonishing.
August 21, 201113 yr Absolutely stunning. The Haus of Gaga must be sick with envy. Astonishing. GaGa never even tried to 'artify' her single/album covers.
August 21, 201113 yr I think the two are comparable, both have very a distinct visual presence to them and their image/clothes are key to that. Bjork is like a classier Gaga in that respect.
August 21, 201113 yr But why specify then? Because Haus of Gaga design and create Gaga's outlandish outfits. And this is Bjork in a bespoke outfit. How can you not see that whoever designed and created Bjork's attire on the album cover are in the same business as Haus of Gaga and are comparable? Edited August 21, 201113 yr by tonyttt31
August 21, 201113 yr I thought you were talking about covers as I'm not familiar with what exactly Haus Of GaGa does  Edited August 21, 201113 yr by ¿Pav≡l?
August 23, 201113 yr Author I never really got the hate for the Volta cover or even Volta. I wouldn't say they're her best but that's just because she always has such a high standard I suppose so you expect them to be incredible. I still prefer the cover to Selmasongs at least. oh and Moon's been released this week. THUNDERBOLT NEXT PLEASE!
August 24, 201113 yr GaGa never even tried to 'artify' her single/album covers. She pretends to though. I love that cover, I wasn't keen on the "Crystalline" song, and I'm yet to hear the new one, but I'm rather excited by the whole project. The tracklisting is yum yum ! Oh, and I loved 'Volta', played it a lot back in the days !
September 14, 201113 yr Author WHAT? How can there be a need to delay it this late into the schedule? :( "dear folks i would like to explain why my album is coming out later than was first intended after humongous and fun adventurous work with the app builders we handed in the music for the app box last may i felt sonically it fitted that underworld of apps and virtual reality like a glove , kinda acoustic and clean with a slick dark sub but somehow the cd needed more blood and muscles , oxygen and stuff i felt the album had different kinda growth potential than the app box and it is important to follow those hunches even though they are slippery and you don't know sometimes where they are taking you i played biophilia for few weeks in manchester and some of the songs grew while playing them live and i decided to add some of this into the album , i ended up even using a live recording of one of the songs on the album . take my hunch the whole distance but in order to do that i had to put the album back a bit my friend , the incredibly talented music maker leila arab came to iceland with no notice and added some sonic sculpting , especially to the bottom end and the great talented mastering engineer mandy parnell came over as well and helped me give the whole thing more warmth and flesh somehow i am really happy i did this , seems like biophilia the album has a body leila also introduced me to "current value" who now has put a new beat into one of the songs hope you like it warmth , björk" I like the idea of the live version on the album. Also after watching videos of her @ Bestival I'm just even more excited now about Thunderbolt. That Telsa Coil
