You've only voted for 9 songs, you need one more.

I'm shocked how many points Three Lions is getting, I thought it was practically guaranteed to come out near the bottom :o

Well it's not like it's some novelty World Cup trash :P It was composed by the lead singer of The Lightning Seeds so it has serious credentials as a pop song. BuzzJack doesn't hate football songs, it's just too many of them are lazy!

It's easily my favourite football song anyway  Although the New Order one from 1990 is great too, and of course Vindaloo in 1998 (although that IS novelty, but at least it's amusing)!

I know it's a more credible football song than most others but I still expected it to come towards the bottom of the leaderboard, but it seems to be getting big points from loads of people :o

I never expected "Three Lions" to do brilliantly simply because I didn't think people would vote for it any more than they voted for "World In Motion", which is far superior ^_^
I'm surprised Three Lions is doing so well, when it re-entered back in June last year, everyone was moaning about it  its probably my second favourite football song behind Vindaloo (I know it was novelty, but it was catchy :P )

Yes, my ban has now ended and the rate will continue TOMMOROW MORNING in round eight - 1997. It will be hosted by me. Thanks to RabbitFurCoat and superbossanova for taking over the rate while I was gone :D

I'm more surprised how well Babylon Zoo is doing! It always seems to get hate along the lines of 'I bought it because of the advert but it turned out to be some grungy rock dirge'!

I personally like the dirgy rock part :)

I love it just for the fact that they got a million seller out of a song that would have been lucky to sell like 1/50th of that otherwise, just by adding some sped up vocals on the song and putting it on an ad  Genius!!!

I just realised I've given points to both songs which stopped Children from getting #1... meh, I like both of them anyway.

I think Oasis are looking like winning this round? They seem to be getting loads of 15s, 12s and 10s.

This set of votes is scarily similar to mine... your top 9 is basically the same as mine but reshuffled and with SYBT instead of HDIYL and we both gave one point to Chem Bros by default. :o

have you both really not heard Setting Sun? :( its too epic for you not too

I think its the Chems best moment personally
