Forgive me if this is the wrong place to post it, but I've been recently very addicted to September's "Kärlekens Tunga", and started to wander around the sad disco zone with Girls Aloud's "The Loving Kind"/"Untouchable" and Kylie's "The One"/"I Believe In You" etc..., so I was wondering if any of you guys can recommend me some jaw dropping tears-on-the-dancefloor tunes of the same kind?

Wiki has a list for "electropop ballads" in here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Electropop_ballads, but it's a very short one and I know all of them (they didn't list the Sugababes' "Never Gonna Dance Again" though! :o).

Thanks! ;)

My absolute favourite subgenre. Margaret Berger - Will You Remember Me Tomorrow is my favourite obscure-ish one, I'll take a look for some more.
I know "Call the Shots" by Girls Aloud is another electo ballad I think. I think Sophie Ellis-Bextor has some as well.
Obviously Robyn 'With Every Heartbeat' and in particular 'Dancing On My Own'. But you should try Blake Lewis 'Heartbreak On Vinyl'. Good song (& Album!)

On The Radio by Donna Summer.

Although i prefer the over by J-Lo

Robyn reminds me of Kleerup's Longing for Lullabies. Also, a bit more alternative but still danceable and gorgeous: The Knife's 'Pass This on'

Plus Sally Shapiro's 'He Keeps Me Alive'. Swedes are very good at this.

From the remix side I'd take Freemasons' version of 'Uninvited'.

Those are the only one's you guys listed I haven't listened yet.

Have to say Margaret Berger and Blake Lewis are two of my personal favourites ever!

I'm compiling a list of sad disco tracks which should be I just posted on the first post!

Please help me compiling it and keep on suggesting tracks! :naughty:

Also from Sweden:

Cloetta Paris - Broken Heart Tango

How about one of my UP entrants? Namely Cicada:

Please ignore the uploader's obsession with BMWs.

I remember hearing "Missing" by Everything but the girl for the first time in a club way back in 95 and that was fantastic, as well as Kylie "Your Disco Needs You" (Almighty Mix) that was incredible!

Excellent. If those are your two favourite out of the ones you've heard, I'd stop personally. They are the only two you'd probably need in your life :kink:

Seriously though. Brilliant choices
