'Lonely' got my vote this time. It's tought though. I was tempted to go with Blunt or My Humps but I can see they dont need my votes.

I dont want rid of Amarillo just yet. It's a fun enough track and theres certinaly far worse.

There's a lot of real crap there, I've gone for My Humps as it sticks out as one of the worst offenders.

My Humps - once again, worst top 20 record of the past 10 years. Just.... ghastly. And the worst song lyric EVER. Period.

also, my favourites on this list are 'push the button', 'hung up', 'bad day', 'I like the way (you move)', 'roc ya body' and 'dr. pressure' - hope they all do well, although I can see the last two going out early.

No, it's the fact that it's a song from 1971 that puts people off.

 

On this site, good music didn't exist back then. That only arrived when Madonna saved us all with her life defining anthem Holiday in 1984.

 

My favourites on the list are (going down in list order): Feel Good Inc, Ghetto Gospel, I Bet You Look Good On The Dancefloor, Shot You Down and Gold Digger. Please don't vote them all out. They are good songs, honestly :(

I didn't know when the original version of Amarillo got released tbh. I knew there was an original, but I didn't know what era it was from. Novelty isn't too much a problem for me, I mean, I liked Crazy Frog! :lol: (which was also a remix of an old song, but I don't think the original was as far back as 1971).

The version of Amarillo released in 2005 WAS the original version, as far as I know. The only difference was the video, but Tony Christie's vocal was just lifted from the original track. So yes, it's a 1971 song in every way except the video :lol:

 

Although the oldest song here technically I think is Nancy Sinatra's vocals on Shot You Down, which are from the 1960s!! Hopefully that means it won't get hatred chucked at it soon for being so old-fashioned :cry:
