Well, sort of. We can't know for certain about illegal downloading, but I'd be quite confident to suspect that an American hip hop album that's aimed at a younger audience would get illegally downloaded a lot more than a British pop(?) album that's aimed at an audience that probably don't know how to illegally download. :lol:

 

I'm generalizing here btw.

 

On the Floor released tommorrow!! Wow, tense. I heard a terrible radio edit of it yesterday on Capital. It's weird aswell, because I've heard Capital play the song in full before, and the edit they played that time didn't seem much shorter tbh, they just seemed to cut the song into like 16 sections and them jumble it around! :drama:

Yeah, I wasn't being fully serious. Yes, chavs are not the only people who illegally download, yes, most Eminem fans are not chavs, and yes, some chavs like Adele.

 

Infact, I'd probably say, if you got both artists, and found the "chav"-to-"non-chav" ratio of their fanbases, Adele would actually win.

 

I hope J-Lo gets #1 too!!! Or if not, the BEPs. :D

Having now heard it it's actually surprisingly good (the chorus and the Pitbull parts at least - not too keen on the verses). I don't really get the Stereo Love comparisons although maybe I just haven't listened to it properly.

I think J-LO has a good chance of hitting #1 but I amen't as sure as most of the people on here. Adele's pop bar is still massive and the fake version is only around #60.. just look at 'B&Y'. I do hope it will get the #1 though.

The thing with BAY was that it was literally held back months and months and was already really old by the time it was released. JLo only released in the USA about a month ago so OTF is still a relatively fresh song.

They sound pretty much exactly the same. There's so many parts they sound similar in.

I kind of wish the fake cover versions weren't deleted. I wanted to see how high they'd get! :D They do tend to do better for dance songs, but I think that's because dance songs are usually held back for AGES.

I think you're right though, more Adele fans will be non-chavs rather than chavs, more Eminim fans will be chavs than non-chavs, and a bigger proportion of Eminem's total downloads will be illegal than the comparator figure for Adele.

 

Also, if J Lo doesn't hit #1 onItunes with ease by early afternoon I'll be astonished. The most obvious #1 of the year so far.

Ooh, I'd actually love JCGE to be #1 :D Although again I wouldn't mind any of the #1 contenders getting there. If Adele does somehow hold out again that's the first 6-weeker since 'Bleeding Love' (a 7 weeker, obviously - the last exact 6-weeker was Where Is The Love? in 2003, but that's not exactly a very relevant comparison point as there have been a few longer runners since that)

It was indeed. I quite like Get Right, one of the best from Rebirth. Then again, that doesn't say much :lol:
