Posted March 26, 201114 yr The Femme Fatale Tour Starring Britney Spears with special guest Enrique Iglesias UPDATE: Negotiations are still under way for a Britney Spears / Enrique Iglesias tour after all. Even though Enrique Iglesias pulled out of Britney Spears' tour just hours after it was announced this morning, sources tell Billboard.biz that negotiations are under way that could result in a Spears/Iglesias taking place this summer, after all. While some of the sticking points may be related to money -- and whether Iglesias would receive a percentage of the "back end" or box office receipts in addition to a per-show guarantee -- much of the problem seems to stem from perception, a source said. Iglesias is a headlining artist and has been for some time, and would carry his own fully themed production on the tour. The language in the carefully-worded press release -- which was withdrawn from certain outlets shortly after it was sent today -- stated the pair would "tour together" but stopped short of calling it a "co-headlining" tour, the phrase commonly used for such superstar pairings as Billy Joel and Elton John, for example. The general perception is that it's a Britney Spears tour: She's the headliner, she would close the show, and the announcement was timed with her appearance on "Good Morning America" and the release of her new album "Femme Fatale," both of which took place today. And, according to sources, Spears' pay is several times what Iglesias would earn. At press time, representatives for both artists and the tour's promoter had not granted Billboard.biz's requests for comment. Billboard.biz will have more on this story as it develops. The tour begins June 17 in Sacramento and will play 26 arenas in the first round of dates to be announced. It is likely that more dates will be added. The tour will be produced by Live Nation, with veteran pop tour promoter Brad Wavra, VP at Live Nation, running point. Wavra has previously steered successful tours by such acts as Backstreet Boys, 'Nsync and the Jonas Brothers. Tickets will be available at Ticketmaster.com and LiveNation.com. Additional on-sale dates will be announced at a later date. Citi cardmembers will also have access to presale tickets through Citi's Private Pass Program. March 26, 201114 yr Author Oh, and if these dates turn out to be true, I will finally get to see her on this tour! Milwaukee is only 2 hours away from me! :w00t:
March 27, 201114 yr Oh, and if these dates turn out to be true, I will finally get to see her on this tour! Milwaukee is only 2 hours away from me! :w00t:Yessss. Really happy for you and hope it's true! :D No British tour dates!? :cry:Not yet, but we didn't get the British leg of her tour until a couple of months after she finished the first leg of her tour last time. So hopefullyyyyyy. *fingers crossed* Oh and October-November-December free period? X FACTOR PLEASE!
March 27, 201114 yr Oh and October-November-December free period? X FACTOR PLEASE! As a judge, yes? And I won't be going since there's no way she'll improve on the Circus tour for me. She's not likely to do more than the singles off Blackout in her current state of mind :( Edited March 27, 201114 yr by Andrew*
March 27, 201114 yr Judging from the Ryan Seacrest interview, there are no plans for a UK/World tour as of yet. DWAD never went global, apart from one random date at Tokyo Dome. Fingers crossed she will come over here though :)
March 27, 201114 yr As a judge, yes?EITHER  Hopefully both, but Judge would be EXCELLENT for her and will really help the British public warm to her! GAHHHHH! I forgot about guest judging until now  - Now I want that to happen more than a performance LOL!
March 27, 201114 yr She's not likely to do more than the singles off Blackout in her current state of mind :( wtf is this, tbh.
March 27, 201114 yr wtf is this, tbh. I'm just sure it's going to be a "sexy" but still Disney-friendly affair. I loved how she just went through the motions at the Circus tour as that reflected the mood of the Blackout album perfectly. I don't exactly "dig" the vibe on Circus and FF so I know this new show won't probably cater to MY expectations. Happy that she's sane OBVIOUSLY
March 27, 201114 yr Why don't you wait and see the performances before you assume that. Did you see the performances from last night?
March 27, 201114 yr Author Well, if that's your prerogative but it's obviously not going to be the same show as Circus so I'd love to see it regardless. Someone said the tour is being announced Tuesday and that it starts in June so those dates could very well be wrong fyi. There better be some convenient date for me to go see her. All I gotta say.
March 29, 201114 yr some fans seem really against enrique i dont know why???? i mean she is going on tour i am happy just fingers crossed for european dates to be announced soon :)
March 29, 201114 yr Britney Spears To Tour With Enrique Iglesias This Summer March 29, 2011 By Ray Waddell, Nashville Britney Spears will announce on ABC's "Good Morning America" today that she will tour North America with Enrique Iglesias, Billboard.biz has learned. Today is the official release date of Spears' seventh studio album, "Femme Fatale." The tour begins June 17 in Sacramento and will play 26 arenas in the first round of dates to be announced. Iglesias is currently on a European tour in support of his latest album "Euphoria," his first to feature songs in both Spanish and English. Iglesias will carry full production on the Spears tour. While two such high-profile artists with top-shelf production values is sure to be attractive to fans, such an endeavor is also very expensive to produce. Spears' last run, the "Circus" tour in 2009, was a worldwide trek produced by AEG Live that grossed $95 million and drew more than 1 million people, according to Billboard Boxscore. That tour was considered a comeback of sorts, and was the seventh-highest grossing tour in the world for that year. Larry Rudolph's Reign Deer Management, which manages Spears, is now affiliated with the Front Line Group of managers, a division of Live Nation Entertainment headed by LN chairman Irving Azoff. Spears is booked by John Marx at William Morris Endeavor Entertainment; Iglesias is booked by Creative Artists Agency. Tour dates: June 17 Sacramento, CA Power Balance Pavilion June 18 San Jose, CA HP Pavilion June 20 Los Angeles, CA Staples Center June 24 Anaheim, CA Honda Center June 25 Las Vegas, NV MGM Grand June 28 Portland, OR Rose Garden Arena June 29 Tacoma, WA Tacoma Dome July 1 Vancouver, BC Rogers Arena July 4 Winnipeg, MB MTS Centre July 6 St. Paul, MN Xcel Center July 8 Chicago, IL United Center July 12 Dallas, TX American Airlines Center July 13 Houston, TX Toyota Center July 15 New Orleans, LA New Orleans Arena July 17 Atlanta, GA Philips Arena July 20 Orlando, FL Amway Center July 22 Miami, FL American Airlines Arena July 26 Cleveland, OH Quicken Loans Arena July 28 Detroit, MI Palace of Auburn Hills July 30 Philadelphia, PA Wells Fargo Center July 31 Washington, DC Verizon Center August 2 Uniondale, NJ Nassau Coliseum August 5 East Rutherford, NJ Izod Center August 8 Boston, MA TD Garden August 11 Montreal, QC Bell Centre August 13 Toronto, ON Air Canada Centre http://www.billboard.biz/bbbiz/industry/to...05097812.story#
March 29, 201114 yr Why are people against Enrique? He's easily one of the better males in the industry.
March 29, 201114 yr They incorrectly think they'll be sharing the stage like the Justified/Stripped tour Xtina & Justin did. When in actual fact he's a special guest... So a glorified opening act, just like the Pussycat Dolls were... And like Cheryl Cole on the BEP tour.
