Just to clarify from the get-go, if it doesn't get to #1, it doesn't mean it's flopped! :lol:

 

I voted for top 10.

I think it will get to #5 but fall very quickly. It just doesn't have the 'hit single' factor as neither of the two singles did too well.

^ I agree. I predict #4 with it probably falling to #13 or #14 the next week.

I think 3, but it will fall fairly quickly. She's more of a singles act tbh, and even those haven't been doing too well so far this era :( It'll sell somewhere in the region on 100-150k altogether :(

Top 10 (8 or 9). I can't see it doing a whole lot better than Sweet 7 by Sugababes. There's been pretty much no interest in her this era.

100k is ridiculously optimistic. Jessie J only barely passed that with her enormous hype cloud.

 

In terms of already established artists, The Strokes, who I'd say have comparable hype to Britney at the moment, look unlikely to even top 40k based on the mids (unless 19's sales have increased a lot this week for some reason) and they're an album act whereas Britney is more a singles act. I'm expecting around 20-25k.

This is out on Monday? Why are the release dates this era so mucked up? Really don't understand anything they've done this time around. Surely it would have made more sense to release it either 1) after Hold It Against Me; or 2) when the promo tail of Till The World Ends was roughly at its peak.

 

Anyway, who knows. Blackout still sold 42k first week and that didn't exactly have a massive hit leading into it here either. I think this will do slightly worse first week sales-wise but I still think it can manage in the region of 30k at least. I think it might scrape the top 5 but as others have said it won't have much longevity unless Till The World Ends takes off in a big way right as it starts to move down.

Tbh this era was handled badly by Jive. No promo in the UK, late video releases :wacko:

 

I voted for Top 10. Definitely deserves #1 IMO :( Quite a good album. It'll fall off fast unless she gets an unexpected hit or something.

I voted for Top 10. I think it'll peak highly but then drop like a stone, pretty much like the singles. This era isn't going particularly well for her in the UK.

I so hope #2 - that'd be her fifth!

Although any position in top 10, except no. 1, will do. Her string of Top 10 albums without a number one should countinue.

 

It will enter between 6-8 and next week out of Top 20! Except if she releases her new video or do promo!

'Femme Fatale' could easily get as high as #2 purely by default if album sales next week are relatively lower than this week. So 30-40k could see Britney enter at #2 next week but as others have predicted, the album will nosedive the following week to the lower region of the top 20, or possibly lower.

 

Nothing is going to replace Adele '21' at the moment. Even if Adele sells less than 100k for the first time in 9 weeks, I'm sure Adele's sales next week would still hold up and continue to outsell the competition.
