Posted March 28, 201114 yr Kylie Minogue just can’t get Britney Spears out of her head, planting the seeds for an unlikely duet at the opening night of her Aphrodite: Les Folies British tour. The Australian superstar revealed she’s hooked on her younger rival’s tracks and predicted an ‘awesome’ outcome if the pop princesses got it together. ‘I think she’s great,’ Kylie said in her dressing room before lacing up in all her Greek goddess glory for her Cardiff fans at the weekend. ‘I’ve met her before and we’ve worked with some of the same people who help put our tours together.’ Kylie even tweeted Britney a public thumbs-up on her new tunes, which could now set the ball rolling. ‘I tweeted that because there’s a song from the deluxe edition, He About To Lose Me, that’s in my head before I go to sleep,’ said Minogue. ‘I play it off my computer when I’m here (in my dressing room) and I just wanted to say I am excited about it. She was glad to hear it!’ On the prospect of Britney vs Kylie, the 42-year-old beamed: ‘I’m sure it would be a great thing.’ Mighty Aphrodite: Kylie stuns her Cardiff fans with another spectacular costume in her myth- based show (Pic: Christie Goodwin/Darenote) For now, the singer has her Spanish lover Andrés Velencoso to keep her entertained. He cheered on his girl at the gig before the pair made the most of the weekend at a Cardiff getaway. The singer has convinced her 33-year-old toy boy to show off his best bits to the fans at her shows. ‘Andrés kindly agreed to be filmed for the screens in a song called Cupid Boy,’ she said. ‘We tried to get him into a fig leaf but Andrés wasn’t having any of it.’ Kylie also admitted she is not sure where her career will go next: ‘I am thinking about it a lot. I don’t know if I will rush into doing another pop album.’ Kylie Minogue is the Greek goddess of love – with a touch of Cabaret camp for good measure (Pic: Christie Goodwin/Darenote) She claimed she was ‘playing with a few other ideas of something else to do’. Her inspiration had come from some of the promotion she did for Aphrodite. ‘I did live lounge performances, acoustic performances of my songs, different interpretations of other songs and there was such a great response to that, I might do something along those lines,’ the Better The Devil You Know singer said. ‘I’d love to branch out and do some different type of performing.’ And the former Neighbours star is keen to get back into acting. ‘Don’t know where, how, but I am scratching around to see what is available for me then,’ she added. ‘I would love to have a holiday in August. That is one thing I want to happen at the end of this tour.’ http://www.metro.co.uk/music/859233-kylie-...ould-be-awesome
March 28, 201114 yr What was the last 'awesome' duet between two huge stars? Beyonce & Shakira? George Michael & Aretha Franklin? Please don't suggest Chipmunk & Chris Brown. These superduets seem $h!t to me most of the time to be honest. Rihanna & Cheryl Cole - I really can't imagine what they would sing about together and the same goes for Kylie & Brit.
March 28, 201114 yr If Britney & Madonna can do a track together, I'm sure Britney & Kylie can! Not that this will ever come to fruitition I'm sure.

March 31, 201114 yr http://www.pinkisthenewblog.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2011/03/032811_kyliebritduet.jpg Britney Spears Thinks Kylie Duet Would Be "Brilliant" It seems like we could have a pop princess collabo on our hands... Britney Spears has revealed that she thinks recording a duet with fellow songstress Kylie Minogue would be "brilliant." Earlier this week, Minogue expressed her desire to team-up with Spears for a collaboration, telling The Metro that it would be "awesome" if herself and Britney could record a song together. Now, the 29-year old pop princess has answered Kylie's request, stating that she thinks working with the Aussie star would be "great fun." Speaking of Kylie's comments to Capital FM, Spears admitted: "I think that would be brilliant. I think that would be so much fun." When asked what tune she thinks the duo could make, the Hold It Against Me hitmaker replied: "I'd do a pop record. She's great. I love her." In other Britney news, the Femme Fatale star is allegedly on the brink of signing a $100million (£65m) deal to play a series of shows in Las Vegas. According to The Mirror, Brit could be following in the glitzy footsteps of Cher, Elton John and Celine Dion by having a residency in Sin City, after impressing critics with her gig at the Palms Casino Resort last Friday. A source from plush hotel Caesars Palace told the tabloid: "Vegas moguls are holding meetings to secure Britney for a permanent show. If she performed in Vegas on a regular basis, it would attract loads of fans to the city." They added: "She’d bring in so much revenue. There’s no doubt she would be offered at least as much as country star Garth Brooks, who signed a $100million deal and has been selling out shows in Vegas since 2009. Britney would be an even bigger draw."
