Well, someone can sing a Sugababes song on X-Factor (imagine 'Stronger' being performed *.* ) but I can't see it happening, as Sugababes were NEVER used for this on XF.

The single pre-order was removed from iTunes etc. and I guess you will only be able to get it for free only via Amazon! So 'Freedom' will have 0 sales attached to it.

I've seen pre-orders removed before and the single was still released. But it wouldn't shock me being free on Amazon only tbh, the nail in the coffin after so much has gone wrong! To think we thought this would be huge when we were led to believe that had a BGT slot... :(

To think we thought we'd never see the day with no original girls in the group. :lol: And this is Sugababes, we can expect literally EVERYTHING. Oh well. At least it's very funny to follow all this drama!

This probably is the best thing they could have done, it was going to flop anyway (or they should've released it on iTunes back in May/June, and just use it as a buzz like I wanted them too). I don't know how they can expect a second/new first single will do better though.

I would say it's clearly a promo single, but it's been promoted since... well June? WAY too much money invested on a promo song.

It's up there with one of my all time fav sugababes tracks - shame really.

That's a disaster really, although it was going to miss the top 20 they're at the stage now where nothing they release will do any better, cancelling a single and waiting even longer won't do a thing to help.

For a change I'm actually going to half praise Crown. Releasing this as a free track is a good move as it's clearly going to miss the top40 if it even makes it to the top75 (Mutya would have been laughing all the way to Clinton's HQ to flog her new wrapping paper.)

 

 

Now for the other half. It's an actual fucking joke that the SUGABABES of all people are having to give away a song because they have done an abysmal job of promoting it and being snubbed by Radio1.

Freedom will be branded a taster (Although we all know it basically flopped) and a second release will happen in January.

 

The album will follow, all being well. They have not been dropped. They're essentially starting the campaign with RCA over again in the new year, and recording up to then.

Why are they bothering though, honestly? Do they still think they can get onto radio playlists if they try another angle? They're toast.
