Have I expressed yet how RIDICULOUS Freedom being given away for free is?! I can understand why they might think it's a good idea, but they've promoted so much and made a video and performed it at various places. How would it smashing in at #27 be any worse than not releasing it at all, attempting to forget it happened and moving onto a new single (which will likely bomb anyway, especially because of the way the lead single has been handled)?? Sometimes I think a BABOON could manage the girls better than they have been of late.

Right from the moment Keisha left, there's no musical credibility left in them whatsoever. The whole saga seems more like an internal power struggle amongst the girls, and not to mention that they changed their directions all of a sudden, and now all over the place.

That is so shit, and a good point. I was so annoyed they've abandoned actually releasing a (physical) single now. They were always a decent fanbase act with good physical sales, but then, that was the previous band...

I don't know if it was Keisha herself leaving, the no original members thing, or just one line up change to many when the public have already moved on, but the result is the same. They are now a poor man's Saturday's who started life as a poor man's girls aloud. Embarrassing given their legacy. (Ps Saturday's fan b4 I get lynched!)

 

I actually remember the Girls release, when people were pissed/susprised that a new Sugababes lead single didn't go #1. Compare that with this situation, when it 's not even being released due to the poor reception.

 

And can I point out that they haven't confirmed a new single officially? The last statement we got just thanked the fans for their support. It would've been more normal to say 'We thank the fans and while the girls prepare their next single here's the free download link of Freedom...'

I've been listening to Freedom so much the last few days, it has grown on me. I would now place it above About You Now, Girls and Get Sexy as a lead single.

I do think Heidi's verse should have been omitted. I'm all for splitting things three ways and keeping it equal but I find her voice in it very annoying. Amelle would have aced it lol. Then Heidi could have a special made middle 8.
