^ I only listened to it once, but I didn't think it sounds like Higher. Although I thought Judas was generic, and I think Higher is generic, so it might do.

Happy for Lady Gaga and everything, but I'm seriously pissed off that Judas will probably beat S&M to #1 in the US though. I guess it's inevitable though, since so many people in the US are Christians. They're probably just happy that a pop star is still acknowledging that Christianity even exists in the this day and age.

Listening to it again the first verse sounds a lot like Higher as well.

Compare the way GaGa sings 'when he comes to me I'm ready' to how Taio says 'now I know how to get down on the floor'.

It might not be *exactly* tha same but it's very similar.

When you say similar, are you talking about the melody of the vocals, or the instrumental behind them?

The melody of the vocals, hence 'the way GaGa sings...' :P

Well, sometimes when you're comparing the instrumentals, people give you the lyrics of the parts to compare, so I thought you might've been doing that.

But yes, I'm listening to it again, and I see what you mean. I'm also hearing one of the sound effects from Poker Face in there.

Clearly not quite the massive world domination of BTW just yet but I'll give it some time :P

It's weird that Born This Way was #1 on Sweden and Japan iTunes, and her next single isn't even in the top 100 yet? Are those people living under a rock or something?

Although after 24 hours we'll get the best idea, since due to time zones, people in some countries might've been asleep when the song was released.

Judas is #1 in Sweden, and I don't think it's been released in Japan yet. Similarly, it wasn't released in Denmark until a couple of hours ago either.

It's #1 in Sweden *now*, yes. It wasn't even top 100 when I did that update. The song that is now #4 was #1 then. Must be low sales in Sweden.

I did have a feeling the reason it was so low in some countries would be because it had only just been released. I'll do another world update at about midday? And it'll probably have climbed a lot in all the countries. Might be #2 here by then also.

I've now heard 'Judas' and it's not a complete disaster of a song. The comparisons to 'Bad Romance' are very acurate - the whole entire structure of the song is identical. However, 'Judas' still doesn't come close to the pop masterpiece that was 'Bad Romance'.

Having read the 'Judas' Wiki page, the video will no doubt be far more interesting to watch than 'Born This Way'. Plus, as Holy Week is fast approaching, there could be a lot of hype surrounding the track on the news over the next 7 days. So yes, the timing could be vital in the release of 'Judas' and to be announced the official UK #1 on Easter Sunday would surely be exactly what the record company have intended to achieve.

To conclude, where 'Born This Way' was Lady GaGa's "Express Yourself", 'Judas' is Lady GaGa's "Like A Prayer". I'm already looking forward to hearing Lady GaGa's "Cherish". :D

GaGa has increased to 0.523536 (+0.011619). JLo has also marginally increased to 0.639043.

Up to 0.545106 now. (+0.021570)

JLo has, again, increased a bit to 0.643186, so I assume Party Rock Anthem is falling a bit. GaGa should still overtake JLo before long.

Great... that's all I need Lady Gaga been #1 on the week ending of the 30th April, out of all days my birthday :drama: She could have picked another week.
Just heard Judas now, its not instant for me. I dont like it at the moment, might change the more i hear it, but not fussed with it right now. #1 in 2 hours or under.
You seen GaGa's album cover?

I love her but it is shocking.

It looks like a 10 year old made it in paint, I really hope it is a fake!

I have heard that apparently it is fake, and that she will make a few fake versions and then eventually give the new one (ala Judas betraying Jesus 3 times...) - this is just a rumour though.

Anway Judas for #1 next week :) I can't stop listening to it, every section makes me feel completely different. Woop!

Livepopbars keeps screwing up and randomly missing out songs, producing a completely different chart every time you refresh. I think the above positions are accurate. Judas is still #3 on the UK LPB feed but I've listed it as #2 as it's clearly #2 on the feed.

Still not top 100 in Japan, I assume it's not released there yet. Japan have bigger problems to deal with after all :P

I have to say 'Judas' is really confusing.

Part of me can't get into it due to how uncatchy it is but the other part of me loves the hook in it and the bold music. Don't think I'll buy it, might just wait until the album.

Come to think of it, if I buy this album, it's the first GaGa album i'd have bought. And I haven't even bought many GaGa songs either (JD, PF, Paparazzi, Telephone, Speechless and BR to date).

Judas just reminds me of The Human League - Don't you want me baby.

Don't really feel it for, but no doubt number 1 next week if video is released on Tuesday.
