Posted March 20, 200619 yr In a contradictory outburst Blur’s Alex James has hailed Damon Albarn as both a ‘genius’ and a ‘c**t.’ Although there’s clearly some animosity between himself and Mr Albarn, the bassist believes that his Gorillaz creation is inspired. As contact music quotes, he said: "I ****ing like Gorillaz. I mean, obviously Damon's a c**t, but they're great. "If Gorillaz were an undeserved success, that would be one thing. But it's great. March 20, 200619 yr I think that Blur will split before Oasis. Damon has the Gorillaz to work on now and Think Tank was an awful album compared to most of the other Blur albums and with Graham Coxon leaving Blur they just don't sound as good.

March 22, 200619 yr All these things he's saying worries me :( Blur are MUCH better than Oasis so I wouldn't want them to split first :( Agree, Blur are a much better band than Oasis, even if the post-Coxon material is not much cop, but I'm afraid they're only delaying the inevitable, Blur have effectively split up, half the band are now off doing other things full-time, Coxon and Albarn were the creative driving forces (especially Coxon..), Alex James and....um...the other guy who's name totally escaped me for the moment, how embarrassing... :lol: :lol: were really just the rhythm section....
