Posted April 16, 201114 yr The Saturdays star Frankie Sandford has reportedly held talks with X Factor bosses about joining the show. According to The Sun, producers are said to have been impressed by the singer's looks and her willingness to give opinions and believe that she could be the right choice to replace Cheryl Cole - whose future on the show remains unconfirmed. Cole is still waiting to find out if Simon Cowell has convinced Fox network executives if she is the right person to judge the upcoming US version of the show. "Frankie has all the right ingredients for an X Factor judge," a source told the paper. "She looks great, she can hold her own and she's been there. The Saturdays have had to work hard so she knows what the wannabes are going through." The insider added: "Just like Cheryl, she is young and glamorous and someone the contestants can relate to." The 22-year-old - who previously went out with McFly star Dougie Poynter - is currently dating footballer Wayne Bridge. Edited April 16, 201114 yr by lee wallace
April 16, 201114 yr I'd love for this to be true and for them to become huge with the extra publicity.
April 16, 201114 yr Author I'd love for this to be true and for them to become huge with the extra publicity. So would I, if this was true The Saturdays would be Huge.
April 16, 201114 yr It's not true at all. How could she do this whilst their touring in December? Think people think!
April 16, 201114 yr Author It's not true at all. How could she do this whilst their touring in December? Think people think! She could easily do both - I doubt there will be like 20 arena dates - i'm going with 5-7.
April 16, 201114 yr It's not true at all. How could she do this whilst their touring in December? Think people think! I think it's quite easy considering it'll be live shows then which will be saturdays and sunday nights and if anything i think the record company would rather move a couple tour dates and have Frankie on XF than miss out on something as huge as this.
April 16, 201114 yr She could easily do both - I doubt there will be like 20 arena dates - i'm going with 5-7. But she would still need to be there during weekdays to actually mentor them. Also, a spell check is needed for Frankie's second name in the title.
April 16, 201114 yr But she would still need to be there during weekdays to actually mentor them. Also, a spell check is needed for Frankie's second name in the title. yes like cheryl and simon do.
April 16, 201114 yr Considering she would have to give up May - December for all the auditions, bootcamp, judges houses and live shows PLUS be a mentor to four contestants which would involve her spending time with them, going to rehearsals and soundchecks PLUS go to all X-Factor related press conferences, photoshoots, interviews I doubt this would happen with the Sats about to release an album and go on their first arena tour. Plus, she's not really big enough to join the show anyway.
April 16, 201114 yr No effence to Frankie, but the media have only written this crap just because of the Cheryl comparrisons. There is no way in a million years Frankie would be a judge on xfactor. I don't see what qualities she'd bring at all. Good publicity yes, but look what happened to Girls Aloud when Cheryl joined the show (anywaysss)... And regarding that the label can 'rescheduelle' tour dates in advance to work around Fankies career away from The Saturdays wouldn't work. The dates and venues may already be booked (you don't know how far in advance these things are finalized) and would cost their label money to rescheduelle - something in this climate that their label cannot afford to do. Their original label Fascination has already gone under and they've re-submerged with it's parent label Polydor. It's already been pointed out that xfactor is a full-time position and you have to be there throughout the week to mentor your acts. How would she be able to do that with The Sats scheduelle + tour rehearsals? Just look at Vanessa when she was on Popstar to Operastar - The Sats were only promoting Ego at the time and Vanessa clearly wasn't comitted to the show having missed rehearsals.

This rumour is different to a lot of the other rumours for x factor judge as she has actually been in talks with itv and xf. I dont think Cheryl getting onto XF had anything to do with GA's break as there were strains within the group and the all want to go off and do work alone. They could easily reschedule if the need to which i doubt, Frankie is a young and fit woman who would be able to handle doing rehearsals and XF at the weekend. Vanessa being on Popstars to Operastars is completely different she was a contestant, they need to put in a lot more effort than the judges. The judges dont seem to put a lot of hours into being mentors anyway (apart from Dannii) Louis, Simon and especially Cheryl are known not to spend too much time with there acts.

I agree with this - A Xfactor spokesman confirmed they are in contact with Frankie. I think she will replace Cheryl. I'm sure management would rather see Frankie join the Xfactor as there popularity will hit the roof and would gaurantee them xfactor performances etc. Frankies been in the music industry from the age 10 (S Club Juniors) She will only need a break of saturday & Sunday and 4-5hours during the week which she can pick the date if the Sats are promoting. Because xfactor is one of the jobs that only needs a few hours here and there -_- . It's not like she's menotoring acts or anything... Didn't Mell B accidently confirm that she's doing xfactor this year during that radio interview?

April 17, 201114 yr Author Because xfactor is one of the jobs that only needs a few hours here and there . It's not like she's menotoring acts or anything... No - I didin't mean to come across like that. She will only need to spend 3-4hours a day on her acts - less tbh. If Saturday's management had the choice - Frankie In Xfactor or have Sats promoting otherwise. Frankie in xfactor will win hands down. They will just need to re-arrange things which is possibile. Look at Cheryl Cole & Girls aloud - The promoted The Promise and had a arena tour the same time. Then Cheryl went on to win.
April 17, 201114 yr Looks like another rumour to me I can see her going on to be as big as Cheryl in the future, but at the moment she should just concentrate on The Saturdays
April 17, 201114 yr Author Like i said it's not a rumour a xfactor spokesman confirmed they had been in contact.
April 17, 201114 yr I think a 'source' that is giving information to 'The Sun' and an X Factor official spokesperson are two different things. As much as it would be nice if it were true. I can't see it happening. But if she is offered a place on the panel Frankie should do it only because she's really passionate about it and wants to help mentor acts. Not because it will give The Sats a performance slot.
April 17, 201114 yr Looks like another rumour to me I can see her going on to be as big as Cheryl in the future, but at the moment she should just concentrate on The Saturdays Maybe, but if Frankie does replace Cheryl, what an insult that will be to Cheryl. Both similar people, both are/were in a group, both have/had a footballer partner... I'm no OTT Cheryl fan sticking up for her, but Cheryl was a good judge. I just don't see Frankie having the same qualities. I think a 'source' that is giving information to 'The Sun' and an X Factor official spokesperson are two different things. This. However I'd rather forget about their performance of The Promise, I shudder thinking about it. The out-of-tune vocals, the mic screeches, the miming!
