I think you're being slightly unfair to Simply Unstoppable, after all it isn't even a single :P

As Adele has returned to No.1 in the Album Chart, I decided to work out

which Solo Females have spent the most Weeks at No.1, in the UK, in a

Calendar Year - by looking at the Singles Chart, & the Albums Chart,

for Solo Females with 10, (or more), Weeks at No.1.

S = Singles Weeks at No.1, & A = Albums Weeks at No.1

FEMALE SOLO ARTISTS WITH THE MOST UK No.1 WEEKS IN A CALENDAR YEAR

(Singles Weeks + Albums Weeks)

(To W/E 30th April 2011)

1) Adele - S = 5 + A = 12 = 17 Weeks (2011 - So Far!)

2) Leona Lewis - S = 10 + A = 6 = 16 Weeks (2007)

3) Celine Dion - S = 7 + A = 7 = 14 Weeks (1995)

4) Connie Francis - S = 12 + A = 0 = 12 Weeks (1958)

5)=Kylie Minogue - S = 5 + A = 6 = 11 Weeks (1988)

5)=Cher - S + 5 + A = 6 = 11 Weeks (1991)

5)=Alanis Morissette - S = 0 + A = 11 Weeks (1996)

5)=Rihanna - S = 10 + A = 1 = 11 Weeks (2007)

5)=Lady GaGa - S = 7 + A = 4 = 11 Weeks (2009)

10)=Madonna - S = 4 + A = 6 = 10 Weeks (1986)

10)=Madonna - S = 4 + A = 6 = 10 Weeks (1990)

10)=Duffy - S = 5 + A = 5 = 10 Weeks (2008)
