Me too! :D And the Tinie Tempah remix is getting some radio airplay too. I hope the Tinie version is the single version, so he might get more consecutive weeks in the top 40. :D

I'm 99% certain it'll just be credited as either 'DEV' or 'DEV FT THE CATARACS' (or some variation on that) on the OCC website. The first track on the EP is the original version and I think that's what tends to be used as the 'single version'. So it probably won't technically count towards Tinie's chart weeks, even though people are only buying the Tinie version. (Obviously some people are buying the original but not many)

I hope it is credited as 'DEV FT THE CATARACS & TINIE TEMPAH' though.

Although I think another collaboration between Tinie, The Cataracs and Dev is likely. Tinie's already confirmed his new single features Wiz Khalifa and is produced by Stargate, so he seems to have acquired some slightly more relevant American connections (I know Stargate are Norwegian but they mainly produce for Americans). It would definitely not be a surprise if a 'feat. The Cataracs and Dev' shows up on his second album.

Yeah, I agree. I think "Dev ft. The Cataracs" is most likely. Obviously won't complain if Tinie gets credited though. It wouldn't be as silly as Drake on All of the Lights anyway.

Stargate!?!??!!? :o :o :o Wow. That sounds awesome!! :w00t:  I hope it's something more in the direction of Only Girl and Black and Yellow than What's My Name? and Roll Up.

:yahoo: OMGZ, Tinie Tempah can really crack the American Market this way, of course WITS is doing well but Tinie and Wiz on one track sounds great, and Stargate are great producers ("Only Girl" is an amazing production which they did). Now let's hope he doesn't become too American. Tinie will hopefully score a third UK number one and it'll be a first for Wiz Khalifa!

Only Girl (and S&M) isn't particularly American, so I don't think we have to worry. They also produced Alexis Jordan's songs, which also aren't very American at all.

They also produced Roll Up though, so maybe we do have to worry for Tinie a bit.

I think Tinie has said he doesn't want to become too Americanised, hopefully the US success of WITS won't change that. I think it's good he's using the opportunity to get some big American names on his songs but if his music starts to lose its Britishness (a la Taio and Jay) that'll be really disappointing.
I was hoping he'd release more songs from Disc-overy over there though. I think Invincible could've done well. It sounds like Live Your Life, which is massive in the US, and it has Kelly Rowland on it.

Disc-Overy is being released in the USA fairly soon (early May I think) so Invincible might do fairly well on cherry-picks. But I think it's best for him to just move on instead of releasing any more Disc-Overy songs in the US. Invincible aside I don't think any of them would even go top 40 on the BBH100 regardless of how big WITS ends up being. And one flop will mess him up permanently in the USA. He needs to keep this momentum going for a while there (but also without losing focus on the UK, again a la Jay Sean and Taio Cruz). I'd imagine it's very difficult for a UK artist who's just broken the USA as they needs to make the right choices or they're buggered there

Jay Sean seems to have lost his momentum in the USA, Hit The Lights was big in its first week but dropped out of the Hot Digital Songs chart after one week (and only spent 2 weeks on the BBH100) and never recovered. Of course, it did even worse here (only got to #67 ) so unless Jay does something fast he could be completely over now. Taio I think still just about has the momentum to carry on and get more big success with his next album both here and in America. Higher wasn't exactly massive in the USA but it still did fairly well, better than HTL anyway :P And it was fairly big here too. But I don't think he'll ever have anything quite as big as Dynamite again.

(sorry for the mini-essays)

Dirty Picture would've been a hit in the US I think. But it might be too late to release that now.

Taio Cruz will probably get some Britney Spears/Katy Perry/Ke$ha leftovers from Dr. Luke to use for new songs, so he might be fine for a bit longer. Dynamite was such a massive hit in the US though. Incredible really. He'll still be relevent for a while based on that song alone, I'd imagine.

Did Gaga perform On DayBreak today?

I would have expected her to do something much bigger.

No, she is not in the UK. An interview with her was shown during the show, which was filmed backstage of the Judas shoot in L.A, that is all.

Apparently Ellie Goulding is going to sing at the Royal Wedding Reception. so assuming TV shows it, her songs jump up iTunes quite a bit. :cheer:

Pretty sure the reception won't be on TV

Time almost top 30 now

Hopefully she sings Wonderman. :kink:

Prince William is a Tinie Tempah fan, so I think he'd enjoy that. Tinie performed at his Bachelor party apparently. :o Obviously Ellie's songs are more suitable for the reception. I don't imagine a lot of people attending it would want to see Tinie perform.

When is she supposed to sing?
