May 26, 201114 yr 3 Words? You are fired. :o AMAZING. Let's hope she is too embarrassed to return here and moves to Mongolia.
May 26, 201114 yr In my mind, there is a 50% chance this is just a publicity stunt. They've gone to the cost of filming at two auditions, were fully aware of her accent before and has been receiving nothing but praise. I think it's just publicity so people will feel sorry for her / know who she is.
May 26, 201114 yr Well I am literally disgraced and livid over this. First Dannis disgusting and humiliating exit and now Cheryl. I think the British public need to send a message and boycott these Simon Cowell machines once and for all. I can see Cheryl coming back to the UK version. I bet thats why she has been dropped to provide more familiarity on the UK version.
May 26, 201114 yr Anyone thought the real reason is that she's just not a very good judge? Americans take these shows a lot more seriously than we do and remarks like 'you look like a popstar' and 'you're so you' aren't going to get her very far.

Erm Nicole Scherzinger fits that bill very easily. She hasn't had any success outside the Dolls in the USA and they were not exactly mega sellers there. Edited May 26, 201114 yr by Jimmie
May 26, 201114 yr Has this had official confirmation anywhere yet? I'm not buying it until I see an official press release from FOX. If it does turn out to be true, I think it's a good thing that she isn't doing it as she won't exactly have the viewer pulling power that Nicole has, but on the downside, she could potentially return to the UK version, even if she's only there from bootcamp and not the first round.

Erm, yes, but the key point is that she did have that success in the USA. You could say the exact same for Cheryl when she went into the X Factor - she was the most recognisable member of a group that was fairly successful but not exactly mega-selling. It's on the BBC, as close to confirmation as you can get short of FOX given how rigorously they check their sources.
May 26, 201114 yr Because she is my favourite popstar ever, and this will most probably kill her career, as well as probably affect her personnal life. :( But, that's just a stupid thing to do! :manson:
May 26, 201114 yr LOL at some of the British press today, reporting that she "left on her own accord because she felt homesick". Bollocks. The guys down at Fox clearly saw what Cowell is oblivious to, she has no capable judging ability.

May 26, 201114 yr this is all over the news now, I think this must be true, if its not, then Simon's fooled all of us- tbh I don't believe the accent story, they would've done that beforehand, I think the main reason was without all the media hype, the ridiculous 'Nation's Sweetheart' tag, dodgy past, big hits and rocky relationship, you've got a fairly standard judge with little constructive to say, not much personality, and nothing really redeeming apart from a pretty face, that would not go down well especially when no one knew who she was and if the media go all barmy with all these 'poor cheryl' stories when she returns... :manson: Edited May 26, 201114 yr by chart wizard
May 26, 201114 yr It's definitely true. If it wasn't do the doubters not think Cowell/SyCo/Fox might have released a statement? It's been 24 hours and there's been no word, no thing. That is definitely not a good sign. Like I said before, there will be talks over contracts, looking for loopholes etc. trying to work out the best way for all parties to get out of this without looking terrible. She definitely won't be coming back to the UK panel. Bit of a job demotion lol.
May 26, 201114 yr But, that's just a stupid thing to do! :manson: And? I am affected, call it stupid, call me a loon, whatever. It came as a shock and I only can imagine how humiliated Cheryl felt, and yes, that makes me real sad. Anyone thought the real reason is that she's just not a very good judge? Americans take these shows a lot more seriously than we do and remarks like 'you look like a popstar' and 'you're so you' aren't going to get her very far. I won't comment much, but basically Paula is a hit with the US audience for being flirty with Simon and for being a mess/drunk on the live shows ... Fox producers had hours of Cheryl on X Factor UK to make their mind up about her juding abilities, so nothing new came up during the two auditions she did in the US. May 26, 201114 yr I don't think people are going to be too happy when Cheryl comes crawling back to UK X Factor. If I was Cheryl right now, I would stay a low profile and get back into the studio with Girls Aloud as people are getting sick of her and all the other girls are waiting on Cheryl now. I think that would be the best way to get some credibility back.
May 26, 201114 yr Erm Nicole Scherzinger fits that bill very easily. She hasn't had any success outside the Dolls in the USA and they were not exactly mega sellers there. PCD did have a good level of success in the US and people know who she is out there and is not a complete nobody. Also, Americans will appreciate that she earned her place as they know Nicole is a good singer and dancer, whereas they can just google Cheryl to see that Nicole has far more talent and is therefore much more deserving of a place.
May 26, 201114 yr I think Cheryl will be back on our X Factor. I really don't see this new series getting the same amount of views as the last one. Cheryl would help boost those figures a bit.
May 26, 201114 yr Woke up this morning, my friend had texted me this and I laughed out loud. I didn't actually mind her til a couple of months ago, but it did annoy me how she ditched the UK at the first opportunity for some longshot at success in the US. I hope us Brits now give her the 'Joss Stone treatment'. I'd also just like to say that this post...... If this is true, I'm really gonna cry for her. :( Divorce, malaria, and now global humiliation following a X Factor boot. She deserved none of this, and I just hope she won't fall into a breakdown à la Britney. She will need a lot of strenghts to survive to this, career wise. Boo. :( Poor Chezza, we love you. .....made me laugh even more than the original news.
