I don't think people are going to be too happy when Cheryl comes crawling back to UK X Factor. If I was Cheryl right now, I would stay a low profile and get back into the studio with Girls Aloud as people are getting sick of her and all the other girls are waiting on Cheryl now. I think that would be the best way to get some credibility back.

The girls are waiting for her? :/

Nicola is releasing her solo album in October, and Nadine announced a few minutes ago the launch of her lead single for the US.

Anyway, she won't be back to UK X Factor.

Fox producers had hours of Cheryl on X Factor UK to make their mind up about her juding abilities, so nothing new came up during the two auditions she did in the US.

I think it's pretty obvious that Fox NEVER wanted Cheryl (as all the press stories were saying, none of which Cowell EVER refuted up until right before she was officially confirmed as a judge), but they eventually agreed, as a compromise to Cowell, to give her a trial run and see how audiences responded. Evidently, that feedback was negative. It's a business at the end of the day, and they're not going to keep her on as charity even if she's hated by audiences.

Negative feedback from the audiences? But what audiences? It hasn't been on TV yet, and at the auditions in LA and Chicago she got very good reactions from the crowd, from Paula (she was tweeting about Cheryl all the time) and LA Reid.

It's just a plot from Fox to get media coverage without backlash.

Reliable source for that?

Karma is a bitch -

;)

I Love/Hate Cheryl, sometimes she can seem like a real bitch. And sometimes she seems lovely. But she shouldn't have left UK X-Factor in the first place..
Reliable source for that?

Reports from people who attended the auditions. And even with thta, it doesn't mean a lot, when the show is all about editing and such. They can't predict how the audience will like her on TV on the basis of two auditions.

I think Cheryl will be back on our X Factor. I really don't see this new series getting the same amount of views as the last one. Cheryl would help boost those figures a bit.

Viewing figures would have gone down anyway - I doubt Cheryl leaving would have had anything to do with it (Simon maybe - but not Cheryl.) I honestly can't see Cheryl wanting to come back to UKXF anyway - if anyone knows the humiliation she's been subjected to its Cheryl herself. When I've walked out of a job before - I've NEVER gone back (even though for financial reasons I needed to and as I've always left on good terms - I'd always be welcomed back) I have a feeling, when she's had time to think - she'll be the same.

I'm not her greatest fan but there are some things I like about Cheryl Cole - and I don't know if I've missed anything - but I've never noticed her being the 'Big I Am' thing with regard to USXF - she appears to have been quite humble about it. If anyone needs a kick in the bollox - its Simon Cowell - it was HIM who was bigging her up (and quite frankly - using her for his own headlines). Whatever - jokes aside - Cheryl Cole really doesn't deserve all the hate she's getting.

it will be extremely awkward for her, I can't see a lot of people taking brightly to the fact she pretty much abandoned the UK for US and failed - I can't see it happening

I'm loving Cheryl in that video from when she was a brazen bitch who didn't bother pretending to be anything else. She was absolutely rotten in the entire Off The Record documentary too. I must re-watch the highlights on youtube at some point.

As the new XFactor Extra presenter :D

With regards to singing though - she's (possibly worse) than Cheryl.

Kath

Cat's sound better being strangled than Cheryl Cole, it's very hard if not impossible to land a record deal and be a worse singer than her. But that wasn't the point I was making. I was referring to Nicole being well known to the US public and Cheryl being some random from the UK.

But she hasn't really been given a chance. She did two auditions, in both LA and Chicago she had good reaction from the audience, Paula was tweeting all the time about how cool Cheryl was, and the US press so far was welcoming her nicely as well. I don't see where she failed. It's just Fox wanting to create some hype around their next show.

Most source's I've seen claim she actually got a really bad audience reaction...

And Fox is a marketing machine that already has the entirety of the US hyped about this show, they don't need to fire Cheryl to gain media attention. She isn't a big enough name for the US media to give a $h!t.

Anyone thought the real reason is that she's just not a very good judge? Americans take these shows a lot more seriously than we do and remarks like 'you look like a popstar' and 'you're so you' aren't going to get her very far.

EXACTLY!

With Fox's reputation they'd have fired her part with through a live show to avoid the ratings diving. At least this way she leaves with some dignity intact.

Actually they can. American TV is very very very geared towards ratings and advertising revenue. More so than any other country. So they basically have test audiences made up of a cross section of the target demographic and feedback from them basically dictates how a show gets to air.

During Pilot season a TV show will, after filming the pilot, be put to a test audience and then based on the reaction one of the following will happen:

1] The show is picked up as is because it tested very well

2] The show tests well but the audiences don't like a character or actress/actor. Said character/actress/actor is removed, if it's the actress/actor her/his scenes are refilmed [Like in Charmed as Alyssa Milano wasn't in the original unaired Pilot, she replaced the original Pheobe who tested very badly] or that character just never appears again [i.e. is written out after the pilot] or parts of the pilot are refilmed so they can axe the segment with that character.

3] The show doesn't test very well but the audience see the potential and the show is majorly retooled before reappearing infront of a test audience again

4] The show is panned by the audience and it is never heard from again

It's very clear that number 2 has happened here. The footage from the auditions was quickly edited for a test audience so Fox could ensure that they have the panel right and that they like the way it's been edited and put together, and that the audition format is alright etc. The test audience have obvious come back to Fox and gone, well the shows great but we don't like the brit on the panel and as Fox care far far far more about the bottom line than Cheryl Cole's career she's out on her arse in seconds.

I've said it already in this thread, but I'll say it again for your benefit. Fox would fire Simon live on air if it would double their income from this show. They have put a massive amount of time, effort, scheduling, resources and money into this project. They need it to get MASSIVE ratings, and If Cheryl is a barrier in any way [even a small one] then Fox would cast her aside in a heartbeat.

I think Fox knew they'd be firing her and the execs never wanted her hence someone like Nicole being made a host.

Most RELIABLE sources that I have read are ones that state that nobody had a clue who she was, or as a matter of fact, even cared for who she was. Apparently she added absolutely nothing to the panel. According to reliable unbiased sources, Simon did his job how he as always did it, LA Reid took the role of the harsh, nasty judge and Paula continued to show her strong chemistry with Simon. From what reports have said about Cheryl, she was just deemed as pretty useless (and the whole 'accent' story, it's just a cover up. Fox bosses new what to expect when looking through UK X-Factor footage of Cheryl. They gave Simon a chance to test her out, and quite frankly, just like in the on UK X-Factor panel, they realised that she contributes absolutely nothing. She is merely just a pretty face).

I just though with Cheryl being there, the views would be slightly better. I do gree though, she doesn't deserve the hate. She is pretty harmless really.

I agree, it would be very very awkward for her. But I think she would go back for the money.

As I said earlier, I feel kind of sorry for Cheryl, and it kind of annoys me that everybody seems so happy about this.

But on the positive side I guess, I was upset to see Nicole as "only" a presenter. She was great when she judged on UK X Factor, so it's good that she can be a judge on US X Factor now.

I wasn't quoting "biased" sources and I'd be happy to welcome your references as well. There are biased reports on both sides anyway. I remember reports stating in Chicago she was awful and they had to retape her entrance because noone cheered or anything when she was introduced... and later it appeared it was utter bull$h!t and made up by some "hater". So negative reports are as biased as positive reports frankly.

You say "nobody had a clue who she was". But of course they wouldn't know, and noone expected her to be known there before the show airs on TV, it seems quitel logical to me... So of course she wasn't the center of attention of the town auditions, that was the first time the public there ever saw her, they weren't going to cheer constantly for her.

And I wouldn't say she contributes nothing on the X Factor UK, if you were honest you wouldn't say that, or she wouldn't have been on the show for three years. It always amazes me when people say Dannii is an AMAAAAAAZING EVER SO BRILLANT judge and Cheryl a OH GOD AWFUL judge, when there are really not a big difference between their comments. And if anything Cheryl has proven to be a good mentor to her categories too.

But I agree with you on something, the accent IS a bad excuse for Fox, and a quite insulting one actually. Even people at TMZ say they would have kept Cheryl on the panel, if only for the accent.

I think this is true she just has nothing to offer and she has even become stale and only interested in her solo career as a judge in the UK.It was always going to end badly. The US media just did not care about her at all.Simon tried to plant some stories that just created a yawn factor-Cheryl being managed by will i am, Cheryl has LA Reid smitten, Harvey Weinstein going to launch Cheryl as an actress-it may work in the UK all these stupid fake Cheryl stories but she just has no substance to make it big in the US.

Wow, for someone who dislikes Cheryl, you seem to be pretty much aware of EVERYTHING about her, I wasn't even aware of all these stories, except the will.i.am one
