Lady GaGa will release 'The Edge of Glory' as an official single via Streamline/Interscope/KonLive on July 18.

 

The track was first released as a teaser for Born This Way on May 9 but was quickly tipped to be the third full single spinoff from the album.

 

Her previous single releases from the record were the title track 'Born This Way' and follow-up 'Judas'.

 

A promotional video for the track will premiere on Vevo.com at around 1am UK time this Friday, June 17. It will also debut at 8pm ET/PT on Fox in the US.

 

The video has been directed by Joseph Kahn, who previously worked on GaGa's clip for 'Lovegame'.

 

Awesome, I do hope it can repeak.

Lady GaGa has been confirmed as the director of the music video for her new single 'The Edge of Glory', online reports suggest.

 

It was originally announced that 'LoveGame' director Joseph Khan would be working with GaGa on the video, but he has since stated that he did not end up making the promo.

 

Writing on Twitter, Khan announced: "I did NOT direct Lady Gaga's "Edge of Glory" video. Lady Gaga did."

 

When asked by fans why Khan was no longer credited as the director for the promo, GaGa's creative director Laurieann Gibson tweeted: "sorry guys there was a slight turn of events on Set (sic)."

 

Replying to a post that insinuated she wasn't speaking the truth about the situation, Gibson wrote: "listen u disrespectful f**k they had an issue on set I don't lie!!!!!"

 

Record label Interscope has since confirmed that GaGa's creative collective The Haus of GaGa are credited as the clip's collaborative directors.

 

GaGa's music video for 'The Edge of Glory' will premiere this evening at 8pm ET/PT on Fox in the US.

To be fair, the video of Born This Way was just weird and didn't have too much of an appeal but it made the song rose from #9 to #4 again....

 

Plus Judas video helped the song going top 10 again as well so it did help..

Gaga needs to tell her creative director to chill the f*** out and learn some social skills when it comes to being professional.

 

I'm sure the dispute was between Gaga's team and Kahn, nothing personal.

I'm going to start slipping 'listen, u disrespectful fuck!' into everyday conversation.
This era isn't going for Gaga too well in the UK, in the US Born This Way was pretty big and I can see The Edge Of Glory hanging in there for a while.
