On the subject of Glee - the one that's on now, 'As If I Never Said Goodbye' is surely one of the worst?! :| It feels like it's NEVER going to end!

19 is not a football song, it has absolutely nothing to do with football. It's just been picked for its title. It's a song about the Vietnam War. And Mike Oldfield was involved with it so it can't be that bad.

 

And it was #1 for 5 weeks in 1985 :kink:

I don't like it, either. It's a shame, since it's one of their only covers where they change it a lot, but it just didn't work.

 

They haven't changed it at all. They have just decided to copy the John Ledgend cover instead of the Adele version. John Ledgend's cover is amazing though and Glee's is not.

I don't know where he got the opinion that people might have forgotten about it from, it's iconic if only for THAT dance routine/video :lol: I still hear it quite often, even if it's ironically, in clubs and on the radio sometimes. I wouldn't say it's better or worse than the original - they have a completely different feel to it, Bee Gees' was more disco, Steps was more Europop.
