XXXIX was hosted by former TBO hosts Kopecka under a strange and nonsensical name that was untranslatable into Numayanien. Anyway perennial BJSC finalists Ashton made their first and only appearance in the non-qualifiers, but will they make it to the final? Who will?

Secondly, imagine that this was going to be Christmas #1. Maybe in the Buzzjack world...

Batidas // Amatorski - Soldier

Numayania played hosts for the opening stage of BJSC: The Rejects celebrating the tracks that failed to make the finals over the course of 2011. Batidas had two tracks which failed to qualify so it brings us great news to announce that Amatorski 'Soldier' has successfully secured a place in the next stage of the voting.

Our other DNQ entry 'Erase You' by André Ola featuring Hélena just missed out.

It's now left to be seen how well Amatorski fares with the next stages of the competition.

3/10

The tension is building in the arena as the home crowd awaits KaraMel qualifying.

Shall we see who's next?

Third up is:

Batidas || Gotye & Kimbra - Somebody That I Used To Know

BJSC Acclaimed Gotye makes the final!

The results of the prestigious annual event, BJSC TBO-IV have been announced tonight.

Semi Final 1 results were announced earlier tonight live from Darko, Espen where Batidas were represented by Kyla La Grange 'Heavy Stone' and SX 'Black Video'. Sadly neither have secured their place in the live final of TBO-IV.

However it was a different story with the Semi Final 2 results announced earlier tonight live from Sjan Montrié, the state capital of Nátriyzen. Ashton's 4th most populated state. Our sole entry was Gotye featuring Kimbra 'Somebody That I Used To Know' which has earned its place in TBO.

Upon hearing the news Batidas president Chryss Topfér, who attended the results in Espen, said "this is brilliant news, we were actually thinking SX would be the one to watch but it seems people have started to like Gotye's track much more which is pleasing to see".

Details of TBO-IV final voting stage are to be announced soon. BETidas already have Isconia favourites to win with opening odds of 3/1 to win for their entry 'Video Games' by Lana Del Rey.

The results for BJSC: TBO-IV were announced last night live from Morpeth Cove, Ashton. The glitzy star studed event concluded with an excellent result for Batidas.

Our two representatives in TBO, Agnes Obel and Gotye & Kimbra, were all present at the event alongside Brooke Fraser and Kyla La Grange. "We're just here for the alcohol" said Fraser prior to the main event starting. Batidas are delighted to reveal our two entries finished in 2nd and 3rd place on the final scoreboard concluding what has been a successful year for us in BJSC. At the aftershow party Agnes Obel said of her second place finish "I'm so thrilled that we did well tonight. Extraordinary to see my best mates Gotye and Kimbra in third, so chuffed for them too".

BETidas were correct to make Isconia early favourites to win with their representative Lana Del Rey who performed 'Video Games' narrowly beating Agnes Obel 'Riverside' by just three points.

Following our success in BJSC TBO-IV, Batidas have now received 10 nominations in the upcoming BJSC Awards 2011-2.

Details of the shortlists were announced earlier this evening held in Numayania and hosted by Isconia's finest Lana Del Rey. The voting stages will close on Monday 30th January with the awards ceremony being held the following evening.

At a press conference held within the last hour, Chryss Topfér said "2011 has been an incredible year for Batidas and of course I'd be over the moon to win even one award. There is some excellent competition in these categories so it's all to play for".

Confirmation has also opened for BJSC XLI with the contest being held in Greenfroze for the first time. Batidas hope to continue with their achievements throughout 2012.

In a nailbiting final throughout and right up until the final set of votes were announced, The Daily Hits are thrilled to announce that Batidas finished 7th on the overall scoreboard.

Our thanks go to Cherry, Goldie Foxx and Dyna Mink (collectively known as Studio Killers) for putting on a very entertaining performance of their entry 'Ode To The Bouncer'. The performance certainly paid off as we also just managed to collect over 100 points. The Daily Hits tried to interview Cherry at the aftershow party but she was too bladdered to talk and could barely string a sentence together.

Semi One

Batidas Goodwill & Hook n Sling • Take You Higher

Following their triumphant win in BJSC XLI, Fljótavík is the country with the honour of hosting BJSC XLII. The semi final stage of the competition opened tonight and Batidas have been drawn 5th in SF1.

Our chosen entry this month is Goodwill & Hook N' Sling 'Take You Higher' which is currently taking the Belguim charts by storm. The track brings together the happiest elements of house music combined with Angus & Julia Stone’s beautiful vocals from 'Big Jet Plane'. It’s a perfect combination of house and indie.

Really nice song actually, listened to it for the first time after you posted about it in the dance forum. Very subtle but that comes from the indie element to it. I suspect it will be a Gotye style slow grower on most people, hopefully it won't stall at 14th for you though. The dance element to it is a nice touch.

I do hope I've managed to find a track that has crossover appeal with both dance and indie fans. I still think my original first choice is a fantastic track but it's not in my semi so can't even vote for it. I'm sure it'll make the final though, where I shall then contribute to its points.

Fljótavík hosted the results of BJSC XLII last night in fine style. The results were incredibly close when the final scoreboard was revealed. The Daily Hits are delighted to announce that Batidas ended the night finishing in 12th place. This is genuinely a much better result than we anticipated.

The Daily Hits would like to thank Goodwill & Hook n' Sling for providing us with 3 minutes of indie meets house heaven as the stage was transformd into an oversized blazing discoball for their performance.

Batidas are now on the lookout for our next potential entry that will represent us in BJSC XLIII next month.

Semi 1:

Batidas - Ida - I Can Be http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SvIm5mAqoXk

After last month's intensely close battle, Botanikka have the honour of hosting BJSC XLIII. Tonight, Botanikka have revealed all 49 entries - possibly the biggest contest yet in terms of countries taking part? :o

Batidas have been drawn 14th in Semi Final 1 which leads us to introduce our entrant.

Ida will be representing Batidas with her debut single 'I Can Be'. After winning the latest series of Denmark's very own The X Factor, 'I Can Be' has stormed into the Danish singles chart at #1. It's a brilliant pop track with a subtle hint of indie thrown in for good measure. We were also impressed to discover that Ida actually wrote 'I Can Be' so it makes the track extra special for us.

Enjoy!!! "i can be a tiger, i can be a fighter, i can be HITSTASTIC, i can be erratic" :D

Very strong entry, so much better than the usual reality winners track, and nice to hear that she wrote it herself :D Fingers crossed for a Batidas top ten return!

It really does amaze me that in other countries, we have tracks like Ida 'I Can Be' (Denmark), Stan Walker 'Black Box' (Australia) and Idools 2011 'More To Me' (Belguim). All allowed to release original tracks for their winners' single, and even the group single in the case of Belguim.

In comparison, the UK get such joyous moments of music like Joe McElderry 'The Climb', Leon Jackson 'When You Believe' and The X Factor Finalists 2011 feat. JLS & One Direction 'Wishing On A Star'. Why does Simon Cowell hate the UK so much?!!!

Finishing top 10 would be lovely. :D

Congratulations to Numayania as you received highest number of points 26 vs 24.

Last night saw Botanikka host the live final of BJSC XLIII with Ida representing Batidas with 'I Can Be'. On the final scoreboard Batidas finished the night in 19th place but we were just happy to be part of the final. Was slightly gutting to discover that Batidas were actually 5th in SF1 collecting more points there than overall in the final.

Nonetheless Ida currently sits at #1 in our national Pre-Release Chart after spending the majorrity of last week at no. 1 on Batidas iTunes although tracks such as 'Call Me Maybe', 'Blue Jeans' and 'We Are Young' are still proving extremely popular. 'I Can Be' is expected to make a big splash upon its entry into our national chart, the **HT40S** this weekend.

Batidas can confirm we already have our next entry. We're now hoping we can confirm the track as soon as confirmations open, and then hope the entry isn't veto'd. :D

Hemi-finele 2/Semi Final 2

5.

Last night Numayania welcomed everybody to Ariene Miekei in beautiful Aquihabare for the opening of the semi final voting stages of BJSC XLIV! Batidas have been drawn 5th in SF2 which brings us to our entry this month.

Former Batidas representative Kimbra has returned to the fold once again but this time teaming up with Mark Foster (Foster The People) and Montreal-born, New York-based DJ/producer A-Trak with the synthlicious track 'Warrior'. A track I discovered 4 weeks ago and have been addicted to since then, so was quite eager to confirm this track. Check out the excellent music video below.

There was an element of excitement in Numayania last night as everyone prepared themselves for the first ever live broadcast of the BJSC results. However, due to technical issues this was scraped last minute and Numayania had to revert to the tried and tested text version instead.

Regardless, the event got underway and everything ran smoothly. The Daily Hits can report that Batidas finished 19th in BJSC XLIVe with their entry 'Warrior' performed by Mark Foster, A-Trak & Kimbra. Asked about the results Mark Foster said "Nah, I'm not gutted. I wanted Meiko to win actually" to which A-Trak replied "I was rooting for Reverend & The Makers".

At this very moment in time, Batidas don't have any ideas of what we're going to enter into the next BJSC. We're now on the look out to find our next entry.
