You know my opinion of 'Alive', but I do really love this track too, so would be happy to see it do well! I haven't heard many of the other tracks yet, that said. :P

It's left to be seen but I really like 'Tattoo' just as much as 'Alive' and 'Wallpaper' but I guessed the latter would've been too quirky to do well.

Oh sorry! :o I had no idea that you were referring to Krewella when you said your first entry had been taken in the confirmation thread! :drama:

Good luck with your new entry anyway, hopefully it'll do really well! :D

No need to be sorry. We probably discovered it around the same time. It was one of YouTube's Recommended videos over the Christmas period which is how I discovered the track. I'll be gobsmacked if Krewella don't do well (by that I mean top 10 in the final). Hard to believe this is the same Ramrynia who debuted with a Diana Vickers album track. You've definitely found your niché in BJSC. :D

Yeah, I found it exactly the same way! I hope you're right, I'm just aiming to qualify for now though! When I first entered I thought I'd just be entering album tracks (like Demi and Diana) or old lesser-known tracks (like Ben Folds) but ever since I managed to discover Katie Sky, nearly every artist I've entered has been a new discovery for me! I guess this is what BJSC is all about along with discovering tracks that everybody else enters! :D

/ \ PERSEPHONIAN NEWS BULLETIN: 24/02/2013 / \

Batidas' entry 'Tattoo' by GJan (which should not have qualified over the Singerpurear entry) rightly flopped in 29th

No. Bréters to the left, to the left... :)

Gjan finished 29th. Considering we made the final by default we're delighted to have made enough impact to avoid being dead last. Some Persephonians have speculated that Batidas paid Numayania a relatively large amount of money to fix the results. We can confirm we are not Ramrynia. :o

Oh we don't think the Ramrynians are all terrorists. Dirty fuckers are thieving shites. ^_^

Spoken like a true ambassador of Ashton, we feel your pain too. :(

The Daily Hits caught up with Yasmine Yousaf from Krewella at the aftershow party to ask why they abandoned Batidas to represent Ramrynia. She told us "we were approached by some Ramrynian media company asking us to represent them and they offered us more money so we just thought it was a better deal. We've still not received a cheque from them and they offered something like £100,000. They better bloody pay up otherwise we'll be speaking to our lawyers and taking them to court".

Good luck Ramrynia. :D

FIX. How much money did you give to Numayanian officials to make this 'omg it was an accident' happen?

SCANDAL PENDING.

Gjan finished 29th. At least we made the final. \o/

 They will not need to worry as their cheque is now ready for them to collect! :kink:

Ramrynia bankrupt. :kink:

We were only offering £10,000 in comparison but they were delighted with the deal and this was almost signed off.

In other news, Agnes Obel has considered representing Ramrynia in the hope of making a name for herself in America by entering the US Billboard Hot 100. Batidas officials are said to be fuming.

004 | Batidas

Aeroche have opened the semi final voting stage of BJSC LII revealing the identity of the 46 tracks going into battle to secure a place in the final. Batidas have been drawn 4th in SF1 which brings us to our entry.

Zara Larsson will be representing Batidas with 'Uncover' currently riding high in Sweden's Top 50. The track has already been certified Platinum in Sweden as a result of the song receiving over 5 million streams. Batidas are now hoping that this stunning ballad can rekindle the type of BJSC success we were fortunate to enjoy back in 2011.

Daehun would like to express their LOVE for this track.
This song has always reminded me of Read All About It Pt. III, the melody at the start of the chorus at least. It's very pleasant though and should finish in the top half of the final at least, although ballads rarely get right up to the top of the scoreboard.
This had better bloody make it through SF1!!! Best Batidas entry yet.

I'd be very surprised if it didn't. It's certainly no Ta-ta-tattoo though.

http://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g297/Hitcruiser/Third/BJSC%2052/BJSCWinner_zps0bde2352.png

Thank you all for the wonderful evening, we hope you enjoyed the contest, and we'll see you next month in Batidas

for BJSC LIII

Last night Aeroche hosted the grand final of BJSC LII and The Daily Hits are ecstatic to reveal that Batidas were victorious with 148 points collcted over the course of the evening with Fljótavík close behind in 2nd place.

The Daily Hits caught up with Zara Larsson for immediate reaction after the final had concluded "I'm actually shaking right now, so delighted that there were countries who really liked the song". Massive congratulations to Zara Larsson and her track 'Uncover'. We really didn't expect a win and were just hoping for a possible top 10 placing so this is a real bonus.

Batidas president Chryss Topfér, who attended last night's final, said "I'm completely mindblown and so chuffed, it's scary to think it's nearly two years since we made our debut". No details have been confirmed as yet about where Batidas will be hosting BJSC LIII but the rumours already circulating suggest it'll be held at the Batidome in Colpi Golpes once again.

BJSC LIII - Final

http://i197.photobucket.com/albums/aa129/Hitstastic/BJSC53/batflag_zpsc3f8df80.jpg

As hosts of BJSC LIII, the BJSC world had gathered in the infamous Batidome in Colpi Golpes, Batidas to see which 28 nations had secured their place in the grand final.

Batidas and Fljótavík autoqualified straight to the final. Batidas being represented by Jutty Ranx with their track 'I See You' which takes the 1st spot in the line up. Jutty Ranx are an American electronic dance act, consisting of Justin Taylor and Jaakko Manninen - a DJ associated with the Finnish dance act Beats & Styles. Their debut single 'I See You' has already made huge waves in Italy and Macedonia. Could become a future hit with radio support and TV airplay. The music video is wonderfully kitsch and is the perfect accompanyment for the synthlicious track.

After getting our second BJSC win last month with Zara Larsson 'Uncover' we wanted to send something different but ultimately something the people of Batidas are loving. Regardless of the results of the BJSC LIII Grand Final, we're just happy to be able to be taking part and hosting this excellent contest once again.

Last night Batidas presented the grand final of BJSC LIII live from the Batidome in Colpi Golpes. In true Batidas style the results throughout the contest were incredibly close right up until towards the end. #00274E stole the show with an incredible performance from their entry 'Look Up' by Carli which took the contest by storm collecting eight sets of 12 points during the evening.

Congratulations to #00274E who will now have the honours of hosting BJSC LIV. As well as #00274E, Batidas would also like to say a massive well done to both Sandebörg and Persephonia who also recorded their best result to date making it a rather fresh looking top 3 in the final.

The Daily Hits are also pleased to say that Batidas also ended up performing far better than BJSC bookies' odds had suggested. Jutty Rank, who performed their track 'I See You' ended the night with 121 points and 7th on the scoreboard. The Daily Hits tracked down Jutty Ranx vocalist Justin Taylor to ask how he felt about the night's results "it's extraordinary, the atmosphere here tonight has been incredible. The roar of cheers when we topped the scoreboard gave us such a buzz".

Batidas HQ have been so busy with the organising of the event that we've had literally no time to start searching for our next entry. Now that all the fun is over, we can start our search once again ready for the next round of confirmations.

//21// Batidas -

After storming BJSC LIII, #00274E have the pleasure of hosting BJSC LIV. The semi final voting stage of the competition opened last night and Batidas have been drawn 21st in SF1.

This month sees British born Alex Hepburn representing us with her single 'Under' which is already proving a massive hit in central Europe. Taken from her debut album 'Together Alone', Alex told The Daily Hits "I'm really looking forward to performing in #00274E and hope that everyone loves the song as much as I do".

Needless to say, we hope the BJSC world enjoy this track as much as the people of Batidas too.
