Posted May 13, 201114 yr Self explanatory really  If you were invited to a wedding or a family get-together or you had something really important (other than Eurovision of courses ) to do which clashed with the final, which would you go to? I almost missed this year's final because my rowing squad(?) are racing both Saturday and Sunday, but luckily I am only needed on Sunday, if I had been involved in the Saturday race, I probably would have missed ALL of the performances and only be around for the voting, which would suck :(
May 13, 201114 yr Nothing. I'd find a way to get out of anything not to miss it, if all else fails - pretend you're feeling sick.
May 13, 201114 yr I missed THE GOOD WIFE to watch the semi last night, if that isn't dedication I really don't know what is.
May 13, 201114 yr I'm missing it for a party tomorrow night :'( might sneak it on in the corner though :D.
May 16, 201114 yr A wedding, just like this year! It was my cousins wedding which, who ironically would tape Eurovision for me as a nipper whenever I had a family holiday (which was every year and always in May!). So, it was a case of keeping my ears closed until I got home last night and got the laptop connected to the telly! Gutted about the winner; gutted. Some great tracks losing out to horrid MOR tosh! I gave up on UK very quickly and turned my support to Sweden. Despite the winner, it was certainly the most entertaining voting I'd seen for many years! No clear winner until near the end! May 16, 201114 yr Next year one weekend is may is my dads 60th so we're having a major party and the following weekend is my best friends wedding, so if it is either of those 2 weekends, I will be watching it all on Iplayer very late atnight :P
May 16, 201114 yr Oh my @ this thread. I'd miss Eurovision if ANYTHING else came up. I like it and never usually miss it but I have a life.

May 16, 201114 yr As do I most weekends, but one has to have RED LINES. I suppose we all have weaknesses. There are the occasional events I'd try very hard not to miss - the Doctor Who/X Factor finales par example.
May 16, 201114 yr Nothing at all. Although I did go on a date on 2002 and totally forget it was on
May 16, 201114 yr HOW?! (Oh yes, and any sign of working out how to transfer payment regarding the Saade bet? :kink:)
May 16, 201114 yr I consider myself nothing more than a casual watcher but I was actually rather eager to see it on Saturday despite being at a party. Saw some of the results, went downstairs when we started getting less points
May 16, 201114 yr I had to miss the 2004 songs as it was my friend's birthday... Now I'm an out and out gay and everyone knows how much I obsess over it, I wouldn't miss it for anything. Like...nothing at all. Obviously I wouldn't stay in on a Saturday night in this day and age either, and this year I just went out after it.
