Finally giving the album a second listen - and gosh, I never remember it being THIS amazing! Standing In Front Of You is the track I currently have playing, and so far, my faves, bar the singles, have been Einstein and Honestly. :)

WDKY gets a second week at #1 on the hot 100 and the album climbs to #12 :cheer:

It is a fantastic album, pretty much every song is perfect imo. Hope it keeps climbing over here. I cannot wait until she tours in the UK!

Stronger (WDKY) is back up to #1 this week :cheer: I think this marks her longest stay at #1 as the other 2 singles only had 2 weeks at the top.

Next single confirmed - Dark Side:

Way to kill the momentum of the era :( It's not a bad song, but as a single? Bleh. I would have gone 'I Forgive You' and then 'The War Is Over'. Or if they wanted a slower song next, they should have skipped straight to 'The War Is Over'. Not expecting much for the single but hopefully it'll sell the album better than 'Stronger (What Doesn't Kill You)' has, although that's given the album an increase in sales and made it go back to top 30! Hopefully it will climb more with the release of DS.

Trust RCA to mess it up... at least they lasted two good single choices this time rather than just the one. Should've been The War Is Over.

 

I was out at G.A.Y Late earlier (salt of the earth and all that) and thought I saw Kelly for some reason. The portly dyke proceeded to do a line of something class A off her (what I assume is) "partner's" wench thigh and then realised it couldn't have been her.

 

It was the highlight of my otherwise nondescript evening.

I like Dark Side i think its a good song, but in terms of single order i would have done I Forgive You, The War Is Over and finish the era with Dark Side.

Really? I Forgive You could've been another top 20 :( Dark Side is a good song but as a single it is a baaad choice....

I'm really pleased with Dark Side being the next single, I think it was the obvious choice. I Forgive You is one of the worst on the album for me.

 

Does anyone have week-by-week UK sales for Stronger and All I Ever Wanted? I'd love to see a comparison.

I think Dark Side is a brilliant single. I Forgive You is too similiar to What Doesn't Kill You imo. Hopefully they create a dark story with meaning and a story like Behind These Hazel Eyes. Actually come to think this era, singles wise, is very similar to Breakaway.

But unless she manages to get a slot on either 'The Voice' or 'Britain's Got Talent', I really can't see this doing much. But I guess she should have radio on her side seeing as 'Stronger (What Doesn't Kill You)' was such a success. Especially radio 1. It went on to be a big hit despite only reaching the B-List there! (Fools!) and it doesn't seem to lose the top 10 effect like most songs do once it exits the top 10, it manages to stick around for a little bit. So hopefully radio will eat it up just as much as they did with MKIA and S(WDKY).

I just meant that sonically they are similar, like they both have an explosive chorus and are quite dark sounding. Hazel Eyes is most definitley her best song :D

What is Kelly Clarkson's top 3 biggest selling singles? Surely, stronger is in with a chance of being her biggest in the UK soon. I remember my life would suck without you only sold about 300k if that.

I think it's actually 'My Life Would Suck Without You', 'Since U Been Gone' and 'Because Of You' (the latter two are just guesses, from them being pretty much the ones that get cherry picked the most from whenever she's been used on talent shows and 59p effects and stuff). Although I wouldn't be surprised if her top 3 were 'My Life Would Suck Without You', 'Mr. Know It All' and 'Stronger (What Doesn't Kill You)' tbh.
