Four new Orbit tracks (not counting Masterpiece) on the standard edition... not bad. At least four Solveig tracks though which is too many.

I love the standard cover. Even more than the deluxe. But I hate that they're both amazing and so different. I almost want to buy both.

How ironic, Madonna always does so well in the UK but this time round the first single hasn't got off to the best start. It would have been great to have a top ten hit in both US & UK. Is there going to be opportunity for the single to recover? Why is Radio 1 not playing the song? I have emailed them but no developments as yet. Is Madonna going to be doing any PR I'm the UK.

With regards to GAYL it's not too bad, I quite like it. However Masterpiece is a great Madonna song, so I'm optimistic MDNA will be fine. Shall we all try and get Radio 1 and other stations Local to us to play Madonna's track. I'm really disappointed Live Nation seem to have really messed up in the UK, Madonnas biggest market.

It's a shame they didn't go with Masterpiece over here as the single and left GMAYL for the US release as the whole cheerleader/american football thing doesnt seem to have struck a chord at all

The peak of the low single position so far is completely down to the pre-order!

 

So if we imagine 20,000 - 30,000 pre ordered the album , if you translate those to single sales it would have gone top 10 with the added people that choose to buy the single anyways!

I don't think thats the only factor which has resulted in the single not doing well. I've spoken to a lot of Madonna fans who don't actually like the song and think its a big step back for Madonna. The rap doesnt suit the song and it sounds dated and not relevant.

A few of my friends who usually don't like Madonna have been playing it though, and talking about it, so it's getting across to some people. Maybe because of Nicki Minaj :P

With the exception of one person, none of my friends has mentioned anything about it, and the one person that has, hated it! :P

Good for them. You're quite a bit younger than me and I expect some of your friends will be. Most of my friends are around my own age so perhaps its a generation thing. I prefer classic Madonna stuff and the new song doesnt come anywhere close.

Nicki Minaj is abysmal. I've never heard anyone with so much swearing in their songs. There's just no need for it and it doesnt set a very good example to kids who hear her music.
