I see Nothing But Cancellations has ditched The Event.... Tossers.... Not impressed with NBC at all... I honestly dont know why I bother watching new sci-fi/drama shows because it's obvious that I've got very little chance of seeing them carried to full term.....

The ratings were awful. I doubt any network would've kept it. If you don't want to suffer the disappointment of your favourite show being cancelled it's probably best not to start watching anything until it reaches a second season...

Wouldn't call it a favourite show, but I thought the concept was a good one and really liked the way they ended the first series.. With this and Flashforward from the previous year, I seriously wonder about American audiences.. Seems to me all they want is endless CSI or Law and Order spin-offs or crappy "reality" shows....

I seem to remember that quite a lot of shows in the past didnt start out with particularly great ratings (eg Star Trek TNG and Babylon 5), but networks stuck by them and the fan-worship gathered momentum slowly at first, but then it went supernova later on...

I already have a concern for Ringer

Ringer's lead in is 90210. 90210 isn't a ratings winner lets be honest.

I don't think the lead-in should matter for Ringer. It should be fine, just because of all the hype surrounding it due to SMG.

Don't see where else they could've put it. 8pm, against Glee & NCIS? No. After Gossip Girl on Monday would be no better. Wednesday is reality. Friday is Friday (though being fair, The CWs Friday shows were two of their best rated the season just gone), but Supernatural has Friday and they already wanted to move Nikita there. After TVD could've worked, but they knew they wanted to put TSC there.

The soundtrack for NBC's Smash will be released by Columbia Records, which they managed to get after a bidding war. It's also slated to air in midseason behind The Voice on Mondays.

CW have announced start dates for all shows:

Tuesday 13th September - 90210 & Ringer

Wednesday 14th September - H8er & America's Next Top Model

Thursday 15th September - The Vampire Diaries & The Secret Circle

Friday 23rd September - Nikita & Supernatural

Monday 26th September - Gossip Girl & Hart of Dixie

ANTM :cheer:
Smart move to get Ringer out there early so it can build an audience before its 9pm rivals hit the air. But then it's going to do well out of the starting block regardless, it'll be more a question of whether the show has appeal beyond SMG and can retain those ratings...
Ringer..?? Do I even wanna know...?? Sarah Michelle Gellar might pique my interest, I still carry a small torch (well, more a zippo lighter really) for her because of Buffy.....

You might be interested Grimly. It's a thriller about a set of twins who've been estranged for years. When they finally meet up again one winds up dead (or has she faked her own death?) and the other, who is in witness protection having witnessed some crime or other, takes her sister's identity but then finds out her sister was involved in a load of criminal shiit as well. I'm paraphrasing but you get the gist.

Sounds like it would make a good film, but stretched out to a 13-episode series...?? I dunno.... Still, I will check the pilot when it becomes available....

It's probably going to be The CW's biggest hit for years, so I'd imagine it'll be a 22 ep series. If Hellcats managed to get 22eps this will too.

I just saw a trailer for ABC's Revenge that looks quite good but I suspect it is heading for a very quick axe... :(

Almost anything can get a 22 episode order on The CW  LUX anyone? Although now that Ostroff isn't on board that might change...

I'm not too sure on Ringer, it sounds good but I think if SMG wasn't on it then I probably wouldn't bother. I see it being The CW's Dollhouse (:()

I think Ringer will remind viewers what an actual good actress Gellar is. Believe it or not, she was critically acclaimed as her role as Buffy and had submitted herself several times for an emmy but never made the shortlist.

FOX start dates:

Tuesday 20th September - Glee, New Girl, Raising Hope

Wednesday 21st & Thursday 22nd September - The X Factor

Friday 23rd September - Kitchen Nightmares, Fringe

Sunday 25th September - The Simpsons, Cleveland Show, Family Guy, American Dad

Monday 26th September - Terra Nova [2hrs]

Monday 3rd October - House

Sunday 30th October - Allen Gregory

Thursday 3rd November - Bones

Wednesday 23rd November - I Hate My Teenage Daughter
