I would download the saturdays but they reek of desperation and cheapness

Was waiting for you to appear, slating The Sats at every opportunity :D

Up to #25 now.

The song was first performed months ago, not desperation, I would call it careful planning

Eh? I havent slated the sats for ages..

Only stating the fact that they reek of desperation for a number 1 which is true

'Notorious' is one of the Saturdays' best songs and could get top 3 officially. It doesn't have much chance of getting number one though, I think Sats are giving up and going down the 'sales are better than positions' route :)

I very much doubt that, they're dying for that #1! I think they'd rather have a #1 that doesnt sell very well then a #10 which does tbh. They're desperate for that #1, i wonder if they can make it this time..

They are extremely desperate for a number 1. I watched that TV show they had and 2 of them had a breakdown when that dreadful Missing You song wasn't number 1.

I quite liked Up and Issues, and Ego as well.

Not much a fan of this new 1 tho :(

If they really wanted a number one, they would have waited a month to release it and do tons of promo, but no they released it on air a few days ago and now people can buy it

Its because even with tonnes of promo and waiting for a release they still cant get a number 1 eg Missing You so they dont bother now to save embarassment and more breakdowns

in fairness Frankie and Rochelle are joint record holders with Sash as the 'artists' with the most number two singles without getting to number 1.

Also you have to remember that certainly 'Up', 'Ego' and 'Higher' and to a smaller degree 'Missing You' and 'Issues' all sold more than various number ones of the corresponding years. Surely with that you in the same position would be eager to get a number one because lets face it, their total singles sales are a lot stronger and more consistent than various artists who will get a number one in their careers

Exactly, they have used this strategy as the other strategy never got them to #1 so they are using this strategy to try and get to #1 this time round!

awesome, at least another top 10 hit on their hands

it worked for Jessie J!

I didn't say you had. Everytime they release a new single you seem to come on here slating.

Who cares if they are desperate for #1, I would be if I was an artist.

Exactly! and ofcourse they're hoping it works for them too! Thing is pretty much all artists want #1, ofcourse they would, who wouldnt? If they say they're not bothered they're probably lying! Its like going in to an exam saying oh I want a C, you dont, everyone wants and aims for that A, if they get a C/B its still good but doesnt stop them wanting and aiming for that A! The Saturdays just show their desperation, at least what you see is what you get.

22 Work

02 Forever Is Over

01 Just Dance (feat. Colby O'Donis)

01 Poker Face

04 Paparazzi

19 LoveGame

01 Bad Romance

01 Telephone (feat. Beyoncé)

07 Alejandro

See how impressive is that, and their next single will go top 10 so they'll have TEN top 10 hits very soon! :o How many Girls Aloud have?

Everyone always bring this up, but Price Tag was available to listen to on the internet for a good month before its release, so loads of people had heard it already, not just 2 days before. Also Jessie J had the massive hype of the BBC Sound Poll and The Brits behind her, aswell as being popular from Do It Like A Dude. This is not an achievable thing that should be expected from all artists, if Lady Gaga and Britney Spears can't do it, I doubt that The Saturdays will be able to.

20.

Don't even try to compare both groups.
