7 tracks?! 10 for the deluxe is decent but what even is that.

It does seem odd leading with an EP.

'Lightning' is the next promo single to be released in the US on Tuesday and they're going with this cover;

'Gold Forever' fails to chart on the Hot 100 so hopefully 'Lightning' can do better, especially with the American Idol boost [although they'll be performing 'Glad You Came'].

Could be a good choice.

I really wish they'd do 'Warzone' as one of the promo singles, so it actually had artwork! :lol:

Why are they ONLY doing an EP?? They've recorded new music and have two albums worth of material... MASH UP and give the Americans something worthwhile!
I've read that they intend to release a full length album in the US towards the end of 2012. Seems an odd way of going about things, but maybe they haven't the confidence to release a full price album yet. :unsure:

HMM, not really that keen on it, it's catchy, but not as good as I was hoping for an Example written track :(

Oh that's VERY Glad You Came. I'm not sure it's a very wise decision to release that after GYC in the US with such similar sounds. Also, it's an OK song but it sounds like it should be an Example song (obviously) and I don't think his style suits a group of singers.
Might have been expecting something more but I love it. Maybe it isn't the best move to have this as the follow up to Glad You Came in the US but the formula has worked once for them and I think it's a better choice than any of their other material so it could score them a 2nd hit over there.
Liking it on first listen, but I agree I expected much more from a track written by Example. Still, the formula worked for them before so I can't see why this shouldn't give them another (at least moderate) hit, obviously not on the same scale as Glad You Came though. It's definitely a much better choice than any of their previous material which (while I like a good chunk of it) is far too dated to see US success beyond a 79 peak on the Hot 100 or something disappointing like that.
Whilst it's still taking me a while to warm to the 'Battleground' album (I am getting there though), this is most certainly a tune. Goes to prove they can bring out great songs when they're not being all arrogant about it. Musically it acts as a good bookend to The Saturdays' new one actually - which is good considering they're both out the week before/after each other!
The new track isnt as good as a lot of the stuff on battleground. I'd say its pretty average, not what I was expecting.
