When are they going to confirm who's going to perform or not on BGT...?

Actually It has been confirmed that Sugababes are performing on twitter. FML ! I doubt they will want 2 girlbands performing.

- Nicole Scherzinger (It was over daily record she was worried what the UK public are going to think of her now)

- Sugababes

 

I also assume that Jessie J will perform aswell as her single was released this week proper.

I think the other two might be Jessie J and Adele then.

I don't think they do. They usually just wait until the time before Ant and Dec go "performing next, she's had two #1 singles and a platinum album...." (with Pixie Lott, for example) and we find out. :(

I think it'll be Shrek, Nicole, Sugababes (urgh!), Jessie J, Adele (I thought about it, it is BRITAIN's got TALENT afterall...) and hopefully Beyonce.

Yeah. Except in some situations like if they have someone really, really big performing (e.g. Madonna, although that won't happen :lol:), they'll leak it to the newspapers so it gets hyped up in the press and they get more viewers on the night.

I could understand that. It's possible Nicole thinks everybody in the country loves Cheryl and that we'll all hate her for taking her job.

 

Obviously this isn't true. I think most people know it's not Nicole's fault, and Cheryl isn't as loved as Nicole might think, but I could understand Nicole thinking that. Although the papers will be jumping on everything possible and try and create some sort of rivalry between the two of them, when they probably are on good terms tbh.

Sugababes? Do they have a new single coming out?

 

And they're not always musical acts. I expect at least one to be Diversity/Spellbound or something like that.

 

And just for the record IMO Nicole >>>>>>>>> Cheryl Cole, but i can see why she may be a bit wary about returning here

True. But the only big male I can see performing on there is Bruno Mars.

 

Maybe Olly Murs will perform? Like with Jessie J, its his single release week this week, I believe.

You haven't even heard the song. :P From what we can hear from the only (really bad quality) live performance - 'Freedom' is quite big sounding En Vogue-esque tune, so I got quite high expectations for it, I think I'll like it more than any 3.0 lead single. But we need to have to wait and see. The Sugababes have always been so hit and miss with the public and music, especially in recent years.

Maybe it would help Nicole gain more sales the hype of her performing on Bgt if it's all over the newspapers.

THIS. I'm dissapointed for many reasons and the main one is that it rules out the Saturdays. I do agree though it should only be British artists performing on live shows!

I can't see it being a female every night...

Male artists... JLS? Yes, their single isn't out until July (!) but didn't they do the same last year with 'The Club is Alive'?

I still have a glimmer of hope we see Saturdays performing as David Hoff as been speaking to Rochelle on twitter recently.

Nah. Well, there are many British artists I'd like to see perform and get the promo, but I wouldn't want US artists ruled out. I'd be overjoyed if J-Lo, or Nicole or Rihanna got a slot.

 

And let's face it, Nicole is basically a UK artist atm. The UK is the only country she's having success in (or at least last time I checked). Well, she's not really British, but in one aspect she kinda is. :lol:

 

And to be honest, I think even the news on Thursday and Friday was helping her a lot too. It's like What's My Name? all over again. The X Factor thing was the lead story on the news on a lot of radio stations and TV channels and stuff. On one of my local radio stations, one of the presenters made a point of playing a Pussycat Dolls/Nicole Scherzinger song and a Girls Aloud/Cheryl Cole song next to each other. He did it like every hour, which was just a bit :drama: by the end of it all. Although it did remind me how many great tunes both have put out over the years! :o

Wow Capital just played I Need A Dollar followed by Inna, they're really varying up their playlist! And its kinda good they play the songs a few weeks after release which allows them to be boosted up (like when they started playing INAD + My Saxobeat)

I know but I can't help but view them as just a brand now. :( I know what you mean about being hit and miss though:

 

2000 (OT?) - not at all popular really

2002 (AWDF) - HUGE!

2003 (Three) - Not as huge but still big!

2005 (TIMW) - In between success AWDF and Three.

2007 (Change) - Second least successful album, biggest-selling single (AYN) of their career - lower peaks.

2008 (can't remember name of album) - Major floppage in every sense

2009 (S7) - better selling lead single than 'Girls' but worst-selling album of their career. Average follow-up single peaks.

 

Just shows that they were successful with the 2.0. line-up and once Amelle joined, album sales rapidly disappeared (maybe due to loss of dedicated fans). Then when KB left, they hit rock bottom.

Sugababes had brilliant opening week sales with singles from sweet 7.. Just not the album! I don't think anything will save the Sugababes they're doomed to fail imo. The amount of headlines they made last year was shocking
