Yes but Adele started this *particular* wave (or beginnings of a wave anyway) of female piano ballads.

I would argue that it was Taken by Trees' version of Sweet Child o Mine that started this wave, not Adele. Piano covers of well known songs tailor made for nostalgic commercials? Miss Taken by Trees deserves a Nobel Prize for Innovation* for her work in popularizing it.

*This is of course an overexaggeration used purely for comedic effect.

I would say its the biggest cert to go to number 1 all year - top 50 on pre-orders already (and been there for well over a week now) and has been hovering around the top 100 of the album charts for well over a month now too - so its gonna get a big big debut. Big radio play + a big build up too.

Pitbulls lead will have diminished by then and I cant see anything else being in anyway challenging it, unless somone dies or something like that.

EDIT... The song is a TUNE!

Oh ok. It just feels cheap to me, and I am a big fan of him.

I Need A Dollar #5 & #38 (Graham Norton)

Busy #62 (Paul O'Grady)

Edge Of Glory #32 & #37 (American Idol Final)

Now:

I Need A Dollar #5 & 1 to #37 (Graham Norton)

Busy  11 to #51 (Paul O'Grady)

Edge Of Glory #32 & 1 #36 (American Idol Final)

California King Bed  #14  :yahoo:

Nobody's Perfect #13 (Daybreak)

Run #96

Oh my god, Mr Saxobeat better get to #1, i'm now 100% addicted to that song so so much! <3
Take That Love Love back up to 59, the video was released today, the films out on Wednesday and the album's out in two weeks, hopefully this means it can get a new peak

Don't really like it, hopefully it doesn't go too much upwards.. :(

The massive tour just kicked off ;) The buzz should push it higher (alltogether with some classics of the 5)... Haven't read or listened to a single negative comment on the tour

Don't stop the Party :puke2: one of the worst BEP singles ever

I don't even like any of the new BEP songs from their latest album, where the heck is the My Humps? Awesome song from them back in the day...

shame their on tour, that means they won't get a BGT performance that would guarantee it top 10 :(

Sorry. Point taken.

Another one I used to be guilty of doing was euro-dance and europop interchangeably. I ended up misleading a lot of people before I realized they weren't quite the same thing! :o

J-Lo up to #10!!!!!! :o :o

Yep. That's right guys. Lil Wayne is in the top 10 of UK iTunes. It's official. We're Americanized now.

We were already "Americanized" when British people started using z over s  it's realise and Americanised -_-

So do I.

Yes, I see Alexandra Stan number 1 next week & Example number 1 the week after! :yahoo:

Alexandra is #3 on iTunes though and needs to sell 2x on iTunes to catch up with Pitbull..

By the way, are there any confirmed acts on BGT finals yet? And when is the finals?

I am loving it, as basically every song in the top 40 sounds the same at the moment. It is nice to see something different, people with great talent and songs that aren't about going to 'the club'.

Agreed!

Which is weird because that song should be back in 2003 where it belongs.

ALEXANDRA STAN FOR #1!

That's why I  IIY so much! :o

I don't see Olly Murs doing well with Busy. It's a second rate version of The Lazy Song, which isn't that special anyway. The general public don't really buy into X Facor artists around this time

I thought Busy copied Hey Soul Sister! ;)

I don't know if you're being sarcastic, but there is one thing you cannot do in the UK and have success - sing in a foreign language.

We No Speak Americano? :P

I would say its the biggest cert to go to number 1 all year

I dare say Mr Cowell will prove that wrong, come December. :P

ISTM its prospects are good, more due to lack of competition, than unusual quality.

Random re-entries.

Clearly most of the re-entries in the lower part of the T1000 are random, but I wonder what the level is, above which a specific reason for re-entering is needed?

I would guess, perhaps #500.

I don't even like any of the new BEP songs from their latest album, where the heck is the My Humps? Awesome song from them back in the day...

I love My Humps.

But I remember when Boom Boom Pow premiered, everybody was like "Wow, this is their worst song ever". Then they have done the same with EVERY single that the BEPs have released since. Apparently Imma Be was their worst song ever. Oh no, now it's The Time. Oh no, now it's Just Can't Get Enough. It just makes me laugh, more than anything.

I 100% guarantee you that if the BEPs release another single from the album people will say it's the worst thing they've ever done.

I really, really, really, really, really, really hope Alex Gaudino and Kelly Rowland do well. Maybe #1? It's been so well promoted. And if they can't get to #1, we'll have Pitbull for a 3rd week (Mr. Saxobeat won't climb that quickly, especially since Pitbull is still climbing).
