50 Cent has a new album coming out...?

Yes, entitled Black Magic. It should be coming out at some point this year.

Aloe Blacc at 3 & 30, could there be some small chance of it getting to #2 this week? :o

Hopefully Alex Stan will get #2 next week, challengers being Aloe (again) and maybe Alex Gaudino. And possibly JLil if they hurry up with the climbing?

Heard Olly's new song today and it's much better than HOMS. Hopefully he can get another top 40 hit out of it (doubling the amount of T40s Joe managed :kink:)

Fellow Bey fan, what the hell is her next single? EoT, 1+1 or another track I can't remember the name of?

I saw 1+1 on US iTunes, so I assume that's the next single?

And yeah, 50 Cent is releasing another album this year! :D I can't wait. There's rumours that Rihanna will be on it too.

The second single is 'Best Thing I Never Had'.

'1+1' is just a promotional single in the US at the moment.

"Best Thing I Never Had". "1+1" is an American promotional single for the album, and "End of Time" is currently an album track only.

Ok cheers. I knew '1+1' wasn't an actual single. I just couldn't remember the name of the other song.

'Best Thing I Never Had' sounds like a ballad/mid-tempo. It'll probably be the complete opposite knowing my guesses.

Any idea when it's released in the UK?

It should be released in June some time. Some info about the song is here:

SONG #2 ———- This mid-tempo song has lots of drums much like "Run the World (Girls)". "Babyface wrote the song," Beyoncé told JustJared.com. The track is about karma and revenge and kicks off with, "What goes around comes back around." Some key phrases from the song include, "Best thing I've ever had" and "Best thing you've never had." The best line in the song goes, "You showed your ass, baby I saw the real you." The song closes with, "Sucks to be you right now."
Song 2. The second song they played for us was another mid-tempo ballad. In the track Beyonce sings, "You don't deserve my tears," "Thank God you blew it," "Sucks to be you right now" and more. Reminded us of "Irreplaceable" with the song content but overall the song was good. Beyoncé said BabyFace wrote the track for her and told CL exclusively that she was "very emotional in the studio while recording." (3/5)
Everyone should rest assured that there is one **** amazing song on this album, "The Best I Never Had".

At least I think it was that one, I heard five songs from the album and I *think* this was the standout. We weren't allowed to make notes.

I'm worried for The Saturdays they've dropped down to 14 and are basically even with 20th! The song deserves so much better. No doubt it will peak at 11 with Ironically Flo-Rida pushing them out of the top 10 :L
Woah 'Irreplaceable II' it seems. :D

Hopefully this will be a #1 for Beyonce.

I think it'll be like "Irreplaceable", but hopefully original enough to not be a complete copy of it. She definitely needs a big hit before the album comes out, hopefully this is it.

I wouldn't hold my breath for a Beyoncé smash hit this era. Every artist has their quiet phase. None of the three songs we've heard so far are really single material so this will have to be the most commercial thing on there... as of right now I'd predict that the album will sell a healthy 1.5 million in the US and platinum in the UK but won't come close to the dizzy heights of the IASF era. Which is fine.

Beyoncé is too clever to let the whole era die. If sales are not as high as she expects, she will easily make something ala "Bday" and re-release the album with a HUGE hit.

Aloe Blacc  2 :o :cheer: Graham Norton has been doing wonders it seems

I really hope this can be number 1, he's not *that* far away combined, alas I still can't see it

Quite possibly but she's always had the backing of that evil mastermind Matthew Knowles prior to now and nobody is immune from the flop curse. Who would have thought a month ago that Beyoncé's lead single would be quickly relegated to BUZZ status?!

I have to say I don't really understand why she's chasing this drum-heavy/tribal sort of sound on this record (based on what we've heard so far). She already did drums to much better effect on B'Day. This campaign has to be the first time that her 'sound' hasn't been determinable... the songs sound unfocused.

Aloe Blacc going to #1 would literally be the most unexpected thing ever (from the viewpoint of before it went top 5 of course). Considering I was surprised to see it even going top 100 a couple of months ago...

I really hope Example and Calvin both go to #1, Example's song took ages to click with me but it's absolutely fantastic now. Example's situation really does remind me of (strangely) Calvin's I'm Not Alone, in that both artists had a fairly big first era with a few top 10 hits then they both returned with a slightly 'harder' dancey sound and their best song to date so I'm hoping the similarities continue and Example does get his first #1 with CTWYKM.

Bounce also took a while to click but I heard it in the car today and I'm officially in love with that too. Example and Calvin would be the best back-to-back #1s ever (citation needed). Would that also be the first #1 for Kelis? IIRC she's had 2 or 3 #2s but no #1s.

It's not be relegated to a buzz single, if that is what you're trying to say there. It is still the first single, nothing has changed. Why are people assuming that it's been changed to a buzz single?

Didn't one of her managers say it was a buzz single or something? I remember someone saying that in the US iTunes thread.

EDIT: I heard it from here: http://www.buzzjack.com/forums/index.php?s...7618&st=260

Although I don't know where their source for that was.
