Re. the song: Time to get out DEAREST AMYL http://www.moopy.org.uk/forums/images/smilies/disco.gif

That album cover is monumentally awful. Way too much going on.

The song is much better than crappy old Popular but it's obviously incredibly faceless. It could be any American popstar if it wasn't for his dodgy accent.

I like the cover, I think it could do without the bit on the left hand side to be honest, but it's still not awful just a little bit cheap.

As for the song, it's no more faceless than a lot of music in the charts at the moment.

Not sure on the cover overall, but I don't like his expression on the left. Also, I understand that this may be his first album that he's going to push in Europe, but it's not his first proper studio album so I don't like the title, and I hope he doesn't go down the route of his album titles just being numbers.

The song is really good (finally, a good quality studio version), and I don't mind the rent-a-rapper. Prefer the glorious 'Popular' though.

Oh I do like this, even if it is a bit faceless, as Jark said. Still, Popular > this.

I really HATE the album title though, it's awful, I think at least.

Oh GO ON THEN.

Hearts In The Air is wonderful even if it is a little generic (the intro screams Taio Cruz). The clip of Timeless that's surfaced sounds quite good as well.

Popular of course remains the best track of the year so far.

MUCH BETTER ARTWORK ALERT

It doesn't even look like him in that photo! And the pixelated effect is still really dated.
Really excited for this - though I'll agree the cover's a bit crap. HITA is really good, and Popular is my ESC highlight! Masquerade was really strong overall, I have high hopes (the title is weird though, Masquerade is his first album )

Of course it looks like him, but OBVIOUSLY wearing big sunglasses will hide part of your face. Stop coming up with rubbish criticisms dear and just KEEP QUIET.

I really like 'Still Loving It' [its on youtube in full] and i'm liking the sound of Heart's In The Air.

Really can't wait for this.

OH and this is Vol. 1 because there is a Vol. 2 coming later ^_^ According to The Saade there was too many good songs to just fit onto 'Saade' so he had to split it.

Aren't titles like that usually reserved for artists with a plethora of hits under their belt?

'Eric Saade' (not even a valid name) has had TWO hit singles. IN SWEDEN. He is barely even a LOCAL ARTISTÉ!

I find THAT hard to believe.

You're one of the FEW PEOPLE who still attempts to deny the genius of Popular. REASSIGN YOURSELF to a gas chamber.

And both of those top 40 hits were LONG-RUNNING #1s so his record isn't QUITE as weak as you're trying to paint it.

Hence 'hit singles'!

And frankly I'm sure there are many people who have not been hoodwinked into believing that Popular has any semblance of a MELODY. The biggest compliment I can give it is that parts sound a bit like I Wanna Go by Britney. Faint praise INDEED.

Hence 'hit singles'!

And frankly I'm sure there are many people who have not been hoodwinked into believing that Popular has any semblance of a MELODY.

You wrote TOP FORTY before you edited and you KNOW IT.

And if you can't hear the OBVIOUS melody in the chorus then frankly you're DEFECTIVE my dear. In any case, Popular's genius isn't down to the amazing melody but rather the production as a whole...

The production is Swedish pop by numbers, and in fact he's not fit to call himself a Swedish popstar given that that's a background more usually associated with popstars who know the meaning of creativity and think a little outside of the box. He's SCHLAGER through and through. *vom*

The chorus of Popular barely has a melody! Crazy kid. I'm ending this now anyway. I have OFFICIALLY DECLARED it and him to be absolute SHIT. HURRAH!
