June 1, 201114 yr In that case It Hurts or Ne Partz Pas Sans Moi would be numero uno. No Parts Without Me? :kink: Anyway  at this becoming a 6 page Eurovision rant. You could at least have it in the right forum or make it about the real star of this year (Getter Jaani obvs).
June 1, 201114 yr Bitch GEE TEE EFF OH. LUH that bish but Kalomoira (and pretty much anything from the last five years, unless you're invoking Fairytale through sheer popularity) is nowhere near holding the title of best Eurovision song. (Though granted my top five selections of Amina - C'est le dernier qui a parle, Imaani - Where Are You?, Anne-Marie David - Tu te reconnaitras, One More Time - Den Vilda and Lena Philipsson - It Hurts aren't all thoroughly accepted by all. Buzzjack might be down with a bit of Alsou - Solo though.) That Secret Combination song was bloody awful! Give me Song Number One over that any day. Clearly, the magic of MY SECRET COMBINATION is A MYSTERY TO YOU (two).
June 1, 201114 yr I wasn't a massive follower of ESC until 2008 (my mum has always wacthed it though, so I have watched it since I was 4/5), hence why Satellite is my fave. My fave besides Satellite would be Helena Paparizou - My Number One  Love it, I have fond memories of it during ESC 2005 when I was younger (8 years old!) Secret Combination is great too. On topic: ERIC SAADE  Edited June 1, 201114 yr by Liаm
June 1, 201114 yr What happened to this thread whilst I was at work? Anyway, Satellite probably IS my favourite Eurovision song of all time - each to their own and all that, no? If we're talking about before the last five years though, there are only 3 contenders in my eyes; > Gina G - Ooh Aah...Just A Little Bit > One More Time - Den Vilda > Ira Losco - 7th Wonder No words can properly describe how much I love these three.
June 1, 201114 yr Author It doesn't exist in English :/ Oh I know there isn't a Celine version in English, I meant the Euroband version.
June 1, 201114 yr Author Should have been more clear, but the song was clearly crying out for a generic gay dance beat and more dramatic key change anyway http://www.moopy.org.uk/forums/images/smilies/disco.gif
June 2, 201114 yr Eric's on ChartShowTV this Sunday at 4pm for 'Eric Saade: An Introduction' for anyone interested seeing him on British TV If we're excluding songs from the last 5 years, my #1 Eurovision song is Take Me To Your Heaven. I expect a grand total of nobody to share this opinion. I share this opinion, pure ABBA rip-off and I love it.
June 2, 201114 yr Eric's on ChartShowTV this Sunday at 4pm for 'Eric Saade: An Introduction' for anyone interested seeing him on British TV And I'm working early this week on Sunday :w00t: Can't wait to see this.
June 2, 201114 yr Bugger, I can't receive Chart Show here :( Great that he's getting some UK promo though!
June 2, 201114 yr I do love me a bit of Eric Saade, was a bit disapointed by Still Loving It, but really like Popular and Hearts In The Air sounds good after the first listen. So I have high hopes for this album. Masquarde is a decent debut alum so I hope this stupidly titled album does well. I shall be importing it when it is released :)
June 3, 201114 yr Damn. Downloaded "Hearts In The Air" from Mediafire but it's "Still Loving It" instead. Anyone got a proper link or something?
June 3, 201114 yr What sort of argument is THAT? Oh he's only had 2 HIT SINGLES, well it's called being at the start of your career and what odds is it that they were in SWEDEN? Manboy was (I think) the biggest selling single of 2010 and Popular is the biggest selling of 2011 so far. Your point is simply based on bias and nothing more. Vacate this thread and keep your BILE for something WORTHY of it. September's Mikrofonkat has sold four times as many copies as Popular! But it's a very worthy (distant) 2nd biggest seller of the year! I'll need to listen to Hearts In The Air a few more times I think but for now it's definitely not up there with Popular, far too generic, and in a 'club banger' sort of way than 'Schlager' sort of way. Generic schlager >>>>>>>> x 10,000 >>>>>> generic club banger. Still looking forward to the album but it's not one of my most anticipated of the year, the debut was rather patchy. I'd love to see him properly pushed in the UK though! Not with Hearts In The Air, with Popular, already a #76 smash :w00t: Knowing the UK though, some obscure label will fart out Masquerade in 2014, it will go in at #785 and that will be that.

June 3, 201114 yr Author I thought Mikrofonkat sold most of it's copies last year? Oh well either way Popular is still huge and Jark's point still rubbish.
June 3, 201114 yr Was Mikrofonkåt not last year?! 5 weeks of it was, although I noticed it had one platinum award in January and it's now 4x platinum, whilst Popular is 1x platinum, so it must have sold the other three quarters of its sales during 2011. But I'm splitting hairs really, I certainly far prefer Popular but it's not quite the biggest seller of the year sadly. I'm quite surprised it didn't recover at least into the top ten following his top 3 result in Eurovision, but I suppose there can't have been many people not aware of the track. Seems like September is the Adele of Sweden, able to shift singles and albums to just about everyone in huge quantities, which is odd for a dance artist, with MOR you can understand
