June 29, 201114 yr Author Not one to be predictable, but I am LIVING FOR this. Maybe it's because I'm not really a big fan of *insert other Swedish male popstar*, but I prefer Eric's MUSIC (not just HIM) to all of them and indeed most of what they have done.
June 29, 201114 yr I find Ola and Danny to be quite overrated. Eric's definitely on a level with Måns in my eyes.
June 29, 201114 yr AND MANS. Of course Mans, I knew I'd forgotten somebody - it would be the best one :drama:
June 29, 201114 yr I find Ola and Danny to be quite overrated. Eric's definitely on a level with Måns in my eyes. Danny solo maybe, although I love E.M.D. (and really any boyband in existence currently, lets face it). I reckon Ola's a little underrated in terms of appreciation - if not #1 singles of which he's had plenty in Sweden, he's always thought of last when referencing the big male popstars but for me he has far more killer singles than Darin, Eric or Danny - Natalie, Love In Stereo, Unstoppable, SOS, Feel Good, All Over The World - all great. Mans though has the killer singles, consistently great albums AND an air of class to him, easily the best of the lot.
June 29, 201114 yr I think Ola is overrated but I don't understand how somebody with your tastes could fail to be taken by Danny, Tirren. His collection of melodic uptempo pop stompers is just incredible and he avoids all of those awful saccharine ballads that the other Swedish males all use as album fillers.
June 29, 201114 yr Danny lacks any really killer singles I think, his albums are always consistently high quality but he's never had a single that I'd be upset never to hear again. If Only You (original) comes close but still misses something to take it to 'amazing.' and Radio and In The Club were definitely lacking somewhere, he never quite gets into the top gear.
June 29, 201114 yr Might give this a listen - I love Popular and quite like Hearts In The Air... Judging on Masquerade, I'd agree with the general opinion he's not quite there with Danny or Ola (I don't know much of Mans), but if this album is good enough he'll be on his way.
June 30, 201114 yr Can someone who has the link please throw it in my direction? It would be most appreciated.
July 3, 201114 yr http://img687.imageshack.us/img687/7900/unledux.jpg Not really impressed - His first album is 10x better.
July 4, 201114 yr Author Here's the rather rubbish Hearts In The Air video featuring 'gangster' Eric being $h!t: W7En5BqIWDQ Looks like it's been made with the intention of pushing the song Internationally.
July 8, 201114 yr Hearts In The Air is back in at #6 in the Swedish charts, they really are completely random... Oh, and the album debuts at #1.
July 8, 201114 yr Hearts In The Air is back in at #6 in the Swedish charts, they really are completely random... Oh, and the album debuts at #1. So has Hearts In The Air gone 2-X-X-6? or 2-X-6 either way very very odd....... I wonder how quick the album will dive bomb down the chart?
July 8, 201114 yr So has Hearts In The Air gone 2-X-X-6? or 2-X-6 either way very very odd....... I wonder how quick the album will dive bomb down the chart? 2-x-x-6 He probably did some signings last week, 500 copies is probably all it takes to go top ten there
September 26, 201113 yr Hearts In The Air is now on Clubland TV and also on AATW's Youtube channel; I had no idea AATW had signed him for the UK but as much as they irritate me sometimes, there is no other record label that produces big European hits in this country anymore (maybe Ministry of Sound very occasionally). Plus they're behind both Dappy and Sak Noel for an independent label they seem to know what they're doing. I still don't see radio picking this song up (it remains average), Radio 1 will place it right in the 'cookie cutter pop' folder if it's ever even brought up at their playlist meetings.
September 26, 201113 yr Eric is adorable in that video as always but he can leave the 'gangster moves' at the (bedroom) door. 'Hearts In The Air' is a tad mediocre isn't it? :(
