I heard Nicole (Second name - too hard to speak and spell) Is going on there. Apparently she is worried about backlash over Cheryl Cole :kink:

As a raving Cheryl fan I'm hoping for the odd boo accompanied with "That is for Cheryl" and "I love Cheryl" chants as she is performing. But I will be nice and wish her luck.

 Seriously though, if I were a Cheryl fan, I wouldn't want this to happen. People are stupid, and if a few dozen people do that some people will think all Cheryl fans are like that. And it would just get Cheryl even more hated too (if that's possible). :( Yeah, it's not a good idea. It's not Big Brother.

When you put it like that omg, Cheryl Fans preach that women on that stage!

Apparently Simon was booed by Cheryl Fans  They were told they had to stop when the show went live! Ha! Might explain some of the jibes he has made about her on the show :kink:

 Yeah, this must've been such a bad week for Simon! :o And for Cheryl of course. It's never nice when people lose their jobs. :(

But Simon had it coming, he just messes people around (Kelly Brook anyone?)

Cheryl still hasn't been seen in public :( Much like her absence from the iTunes chart recently It is rather worrisome and devastating.

Nicole has nothing to do with Cheryl not being suitable for the role. So there wouldnt be a backlash, especially with her recent success with Right There. I'm sure she'll perform as Simon loves her doesnt he! :o

Nicola said on the radio that Cheryl is just planning to rejoin Girls Aloud again (although I'm sure you know that more than I do ), so we should see her again soon.

I really like Girls Aloud. They're one of the defining pop artists of the past decade imo. I can't believe it's almost been 10 years! :o

On the positive side of things, if Nicole did get booed, I think that would really help her chart performance.

You obviously don't realise what a Cheryl loon I am then. I meant it in good faith anyway. I actually do listen to her songs, they are alright I guess ^_^

I can tell. You can be upset and all that, but to want Nicole to be booed because of Cheryl losing her job, which had nothing to do with Nicole, is a bit unfair. Anyway, you should be happy if you are such a Cheryl loon that she can now be back in the UK and possibly rejoin GA soon.

You know, I bet the Girls Aloud reunion track won't get to #1. :( I don't know why, just the vibe I'm getting. :(

I doubt that very much tbh. Cheryl could put out anything and it would get to #1, even though she is becoming hated by a lot of people, there is always going to be that massive fanbase. That was proved last year when 'Promise This' hit the top spot.

I read that of course and I was squealing with excitement of course :kink:

10 years! next year will be their anniversary, they were planning to mark the occasion anyway apparently so this has just made it easier (Unless Cheryl gets another TV Job which I'm sure she will)

Yes I actually hope she is not booed now!

Ok I was only making a light joke or statement, I wasn't actually being serious.

Of course I'm happy at the prospects of Girls Aloud's future! Shame under the circumstances though :(

Oh My, what have I started... (Crawls under rock)

Eric you can't say that! Way to early!

Exactly right! They each have their own little (Cheryl's massive) Fan bases and Girls Aloud's as a whole, also the massive marketing campaign that will ensue. It should at the very least hit top 3 or I will be devastated.

"becoming hated"? Yeah, but that happened 2 years ago. I think the hatred for her has probably peaked now. Now people have more of a "Haha, what a loser!" attitude toward her, but that was better than 6 months ago where she was getting dozens of death threats online. I think there's other people feeling a bit sorry for her too.

She does have a massive fanbase though. Promise This wasn't fanbase sales though. Remember it was held back for weeks and weeks, and then she performed on X Factor. Some of those 157,000 first week sales were people who has heard the song over the past 2 months and liked it (e.g. me). Fanbase sales are more like with the situation with Lady Gaga's promo singles, where they were put for download with no (or very little) promo.

But yeah, I think Cheryl Cole and JLS are the only British artists who have a hope of debuting at #1 with no promo.

I don't think they would need to worry. Girls Aloud have had amazing songs in the past. Personally I am not a fan of Cheryl's solo career, Nadines album was OK at best and Beat Of My Drum is quite good, but I think when they are together, they make amazing music. Looking through their back catologue, they have only had a few weak singles so I think if they come back with the same level of material, they should be fine. I would love a 'Call The Shots' type comeback.

Yes, but I mean that she could release anything and it would still get to #1 because she is Cheryl Cole and she has loads of fans. 'Promise This' was IMO very weak and at the time, she was hated by a lot of people for Gamu Gate and yet it still got to #1, because its Cheryl. And 'Promise This' was very front-loaded.. it fell from the top 40 very quickly.

Me too.

Girls Aloud have such an incredible discography imo. Biology is my favourite, and I also like Sound of the Underground and Something Kinda Oooh.

'Beat Of My Drum' is better than anything Girls Aloud, Nadine or Cheryl have ever released.

If they stick with the same producer and old team, which they probably will, they will be fine. They are known for their experimental pop and not following genre trends. Thats what makes them so exciting. It's only now people realise how much of a defining moment their songs like "Sound of the Underground" and "Biology" was. Who else could get away with the downright bizarre and crazy lyrics in "Something Kinda Oooh?" they just bliss!

Cheryl's fan base is gigantic. Just because the general consensus online is she's disliked is far from the truth. Normal everyday people like her and she connects with the masses. She has sold loads and she managed to get 3 Words into the top 5 which is an achievement in its self. It was not exactly chart friendly.

Notorious is a bit like Biology actually, come to think of it. It's like "Where's the chorus?", "How many verses are there?", "Does this song have a bridge?".

And there's this remix of Biology I used to love which I think sounded a bit like Firework by Katy Perry.

Please do not compare Notorious to Biology! Biology is pop classic!

Biology is uber brilliant, catchy and great.

Notorius sounds cheap has no hook and is awful

There is no comperison to be made - Biology sh!ts over Notrius in a very big way.

Speaking of which - Notorius  21
