It started when we were talking about who was going on BGT for the final and Nicole was mentioned, which turned into a Cheryl US X Factor discussion and then a Girls Aloud one and then because I mentioned a GA album track which was supposed to have been for Britney and apparently some Rachel Stevens songs were for Britney too.

Simple.

Another one was Break Your Heart by Taio Cruz was originally given to Cheryl I think, but her record label didn't reply for ages, and apparently by then Taio had assumed they didn't want the song so he recorded it himself and had already sent it to radio by the time Cheryl's people responded to him! :o That must've been annoying for her, especially when it got to #1 in the US! :o

Apparently Cheryl thought the song suited a male voice and declined and went with Fight For This Love which was an gigantic hit here so I doubt she was complaining!

I wouldn't have said have said it has a weak chorus at all! :o For me it's one of those songs I can go for months without hearing it and I still remember it perfectly.

Oh yes, I forgot about that! That would have been a great song for Cheryl and been massive for her, but then again Fight For This Love didn't do to shody so that might help her get over it. Taio also did 'Stand Up' for her album though, which remains the best thing Cheryl's done solo and still stand by that I think that would have been massive if it was released as a single.

I have to assume based on your track record this is not for musical reasons.

This is actually kind of embarrassing, but I first heard B.o.B early 2009 (basically, Live Your Life was like the best song I ever heard at the time, so obviously I went and listened to the whole of T.I.'s album, and B.o.B was on a song), and I thought absolutely nothing of him.

Then a year later he releases one of my favourite songs.

Of course, his biggest hit was only due to the cute Hayley Williams... ;)

The top 10 that week was this, since Eric apparently doesn't want to look it up.

1 Dirtee Disco

2 Nothin' On You

3 Solo

4 Ridin' Solo

5 Not Afraid

6 We Dance On

7 Stereo Love

8 Candy

9 Good Times

10 Eenie Meenie

That last one alone disqualifies it from being a good top 10.

Not to mention the other nine? :)

Biology is INCREDIBLE! Deffo their best song, and that's from a amazing back catalogue!

My favs were 'Life Got Cold', 'Long Hot Summer' & 'I'll Stand By You'.

Question: why would 700,000 people ONLY buy a song because they find the featured artist attractive? You're in denial, "Airplanes" was a great song full stop and both contributing artists played their part in that.

I wonder, had "Airplanes" Pt. II not been album-only, would its sales be combined with Part I? That could have made it even huger...

Did you not see my winking smiley?

She is SOOOOOOOO attractive though!

I think Airplanes would've been a million-seller if Part II was released and they were combined. Part II is so popular. It's such a strange thought that it hasn't actually sold anything.

I think the normal version was far too short, and I prefer the beat in Part II, since it's more piano and less guitar.

I think the chorus to Airplanes is one of the best hooks I heard in the charts last year. B.o.B's (and Eminem's) lyrics are fantastic as usual too.

Oh, and the drums!!! Wow! Granted, they're very similar to the ones in Love the Way You Lie, but I can see why he'd want to reuse them. :D

A whole night full of discussion about GA?!

'No Good Advice', 'Wake Me Up', 'Biology', 'Sexy No No No' and 'The Promise' were definitely their best singles from each album. ^_^ NGA got me addicted to GA and is probably my most favourite GA single. They are undeniable modern-day Britist legends.

Nicola said on the radio that Cheryl is just planning to rejoin Girls Aloud again (although I'm sure you know that more than I do ), so we should see her again soon.

Huh?

Nicola only did the Radio 1 interview, right? And she only said that she knows a lot of people are wishing her (Cheryl) well and as a friend she doesn't want to add anything to the whole thing, so she wouldn't say a word about it.

Later on the show she said she (Nicola) is really hoping GA would be back in 2012 for their 10th anniversary though, but she didn't say Cheryl is just planning that at the moment.

She was saying things like "When the reunion happens" though. From the interview she seemed pretty certain it would happen, at least to me.

Yes yes, she said she would do everything possible to get the girls back together for the band's anniversary :)

But that would be at the end of 2012 anyway, therefore saying "Cheryl is just planning to rejoin Girls Aloud" would sound a bit... anticipated.

So tonight, we have these major releases to look forward to:

Example

Nicola Roberts

Enrique/Usher/Lil Wayne

Coldplay

Anyone else?

I predict that their official peaks next week will be:

Example - #3

Nicola Roberts - #6

Enrique/Usher/Lil Wayne - #36

Coldplay - #1

DON'T SAY THAT!!!

Sorry. :( Just that the album version isn't very high, and I haven't heard the song anywhere (although apparently it has been played on Capital before, and Radio 1Xtra probably played it sometime too).

I don't see Coldplay instantly cracking the top three. They might do a Love Love and go top 3 on iTunes, but that was hindered officially by its midweek release. I'll predict a #7 debut for them.
