Yeah, it seems like the top 10 has been the same for the past 2 months, and there's too many ballads imo. :(

Too many? Let me count - there is Adele, and... Adele. I can't think of any others offhand?

IMO there is just a lack of songs I like just now.

Welcome to my world. :P

BTW, I wonder why it is the new urban releases tend to be slow starters on iTunes?

Probably because urban songs don't normally get good pre-orders and most people aged 12 - 25 who buy into urban don't get up at 7 in the morning on a Sunday

Btw - Example is not urban (he's having a slower start than Nicola and Coldplay because people have pre ordered Example's EP)

Tell that to the Wikipedia page about this particular song.

Good starts for both of these :D Really hope Example can get to #1.

Also, as expected on iTunes albums:

1. Changed the Way You Kiss Me - EP - Example

With so many pre-orders over such a long time it was obviously gonna enter straight at #1. I expect DJ Fresh to do the same.

woah, great start for Nicole :o although I feel she will be very front-loaded

Example's number 1 on the album chart after just an hour :cheer: hopefully the single version will back that up

BTW, what's the URL for the album chart - it doesn't seem to be listed at the start of the iTunes album thread, as the ones for the singles are?

Exactly the same as the songs feed, but change 'topsongs' to 'topalbums'.

Touché. :)

However, one song does not alter the fact that he is at heart a rapper, and therefore urban by definition.

His roots are urban, yes, but this particular song is not.

Which I acknowledged in my previous post, though I would argue that the song *does* contain some semi-rapping, so...

Thanks.

I bet I'm not the only one though, who thinks that *singles* shouldn't be in the albums chart!

Thanks.

They're EPs, not singles though. They're just EPs that contain many versions of the same song. I think sales of the entire EP should be on the albums chart as you can't just put those sales on one version in the songs chart - how would you decide which one to put them on?

Nicola is barely climbing at all. Coldplay and Example will overtake her within a couple of hours I reckon.

To be fair, they'll probably chart Example on the 1Xtra chart, so... :kink:

I'm kind of shocked not to see anything else climb into the top 10 so far. I thought Nicole would, or that Templecloud songs.

Leaving aside the fact that EP's have traditionally appeared on the singles chart, of course...

I don't see the problem in having the sales of the EP count as one 'track' on the singles chart.

But which track would you combine the EP sales to?

Very good climbs for Coldplay and Example :D

Come on Nicola get that top 5 smash

Porcelain heart is beautiful too..I would have preferred this as the debut single....
