94. Shelter - Birdy

 

Surprised there's any interest at all in a second Birdy song - is it an original one this time or another cover?

 

'Shelter' is a cover of the xx track of the same name that appears on their debut album. Clearly it's angered people that she's released another cover, but Fearne Cotton was speaking yesterday of how she's releasing covers until she fully perfects her debut album; nothing wrong with that.

 

I wish Birdy would cover a song I didn't like, then I couldn't moan that she's making brilliant songs both worse and more popular. Just listened to 'Shelter', and although I think it's rubbish, it's at least different enough to the original, unlike 'Skinny Love' where it was a similar cover but much less beautiful.

I too, thought you meant 'Pretty Girl Rock' and screamed a little :kink: But why is 'Liv Tonight' climbing back up? :o Amazing song though! Hopefully they cancelled the song with Kelly Rowland over here and gone with LT instead.

 

'Pretty Girl Rock' IS at #213 however! (It was out the top 300 a day or two ago I believe! - Well not too long ago!)

Liv tonight doesn't have a music video, at least i don't think it does. I think it's climbing because it is being advertised with some dance film which is coming out soon called "honey 2"
