You're right, she has 4 consecutive #1s with the album Mariah Carey. But if Katy gets another #1 with "Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F)" then I think she'll be the first female artist to achieve 5 consecutive #1s from the same album.

That seems unlikely given they're already at #4...

I would just say the gap between 3 and 4 is big - If they fall, they would probably fall around tuesday/ wednesday - it usually highly unlikely for new songs to fall the day they are released

In all seriousness though, it's not common for songs that are held back like that to increase in sales, at least in their first few weeks when they're high up the chart.

 

Although there are a few expections. Like Number 1 by Tinchy Stryder/N-Dubz which I mentioned earlier. And Only Girl, but that had an X Factor performance to boost it in the 2nd week.
