July 9, 201113 yr My older brother has collected the nows from now 1 all the way through lol they are good albums though
July 9, 201113 yr I'm not sure why people are so surprised at the inclusion of Born This Way. It's one of the 10 biggest selling hits of the year so far in the UK, and it was MASSIVE all across the world. The other singles WEREN'T. Similarly, would people expect Set Fire To The Rain or Turning Tables to be included over Someone Like You?

You have got a great point, but Now Music have skipped past big sellers before for more recent tracks. I gave all the songs a listen on YouTube and the final few tracks on disc 1 flow really well together, a nice chill out summer collection before partying hard on Disc 2.

July 13, 201113 yr I'm actually really starting to like this track list. I wasn't impressed at first but there are some really good songs on here, and several of them are different edits(probably) that I would like to own.
July 16, 201113 yr This is an improvement on the last NOW edition, but why is that slag Lady Gaga on there with Express Yourself?
July 18, 201113 yr This is an improvement on the last NOW edition, but why is that slag Lady Gaga on there with Express Yourself?. They really should have put a newer one on.
July 23, 201113 yr Just received this in the post! Strange/dodgy edit of Born This Way, sounds self-made a la the No Air edit on Now 70, the song begins at the first verse, no intro or anything :/ Other than that, it's FAR better than the last Now, in fact I think 9 of the current UK top 10 are on here, so in that respect it's more up to date than a Now album's probably ever been before!

Yeah, someone said on the Now Forums that it's the "Radio Edit". But all the stations I've listened to play it in full. And that's great, they usually get a lot of slack for being so far behind in their song choices.

And that's great, they usually get a lot of slack for being so far behind in their song choices. Gaga would never put that out as an official 'Radio Edit', it's a mess  I'm certain that it's their own homemade edit! Sounds like somebody's run it through Audacity, chopped off the entire intro apart from about 3 seconds and then faded in just in time for the verse! I'm not that bothered, I don't even like the song that much - and if I did want to listen to it I have it on both her album and Absolute Music 66! Indeed, although I find that the summer ones are always more up to date as they have less ground to cover - the last one only came out three months ago whereas the wait between the winter and easter editions is five months sometimes! 10 #1's is pretty impressive though - especially considering that Someone Like You, Party Rock Anthem, On The Floor and Give Me Everything are all huge sellers!

It's a bit shocking that not only we get "Born this Way" that is now 2 songs old, but that it's also badly edited  And it's thing like that that make me thing they should have 4 (one per season), but chances are it'd be hard to fill two discs. And I personally don't want what they US do with the last 4 tracks.

And I personally don't want what they US do with the last 4 tracks. I agree, there was enough space on the disc to have the full version on there. And disc 2 is only 75 minutes long! I'd love 4 per year, they seem to be including a lot of smaller chart hits on there recently anyway (Templecloud, Cee Lo, Chase & Status on this one for example). I wouldn't mind the 4 bonus/unknown songs on a 2 disc compilation but it's a bit cheeky of them to do it on the US series when there's only 20 tracks in the first place, not exactly great value for money for people who look to Now albums as a collection of the hits in one place. Oddly, Hot Chelle Rae's Tonight Tonight was on the last US Now as one of the four bonus tracks and now it's actually become a hit it's also on the new US Now album as one of the 'hits' So people buying Now 39 US will be getting 4 songs they don't know plus one that was on the last edition :drama:
July 23, 201113 yr Anyway, I dont really care for either CD, the best ones all came from 1999 and 2000, amazing years. I must admit that pre-downloads I've always regarded Now! 45 and Now! 47 to be two of the best compilations I've ever bought. I would've bought Now! 46 but my sister bought it (my brother in law worked as a dj at their local community centre at the time) so I ended up lending their copy a lot.
July 23, 201113 yr The most ridiculous "edit" I ever heard on a Now! album was the butchering of 'Smack Dat' by Akon feat. Eminem.

And Now 76 had 46 tracks as well, they could've done so much more. And I still don't think the last 4 tracks would be a good idea, especially since the US Now Music "fans" are moaning about what's happened. I've listened to the album in full a few times now and I personally think that Disc 1 is a lot stronger than Disc 2, which usually happens a lot for the series (but not recently). If not then you're screwed  Smack That's entire intro was cut out - it jumped instantly into Akon's first verse, just as Born This Way does on Now 79.
July 26, 201113 yr this is a good CD, apart from the J-Lo only version of On The Floor, it doesn't feel right without Pitbull's rap  :( also I Want You is unbelievably tedious
