October 30, 201113 yr It must vary from venue to venue, I don't think it's unusual for some to only be sent out about a month before. I got mine towards the end of September.
November 2, 201113 yr Author Very worrying that The Saturdays have failed to sell out of any venues yet. I am delighted they have reduced the prices from 19pound on some venues. I just guess that many people are not going to the tour as they were at many festivals and seen most of their singles anyway. If i was their booking manager I would be pushing for My Heart Takes Over promotion like mad. Promotion everywhere and anywhere. Edited November 2, 201113 yr by lee wallace
November 2, 201113 yr They had an advert in the paper a few days ago with 'Sold Out' written across some venues, I have no idea what they were though.
November 2, 201113 yr Author Well I guess that's good news, but I hope they perform My Heart Takes Over on more than just Alan Carr & Loose Women. They only seem to be doing 1 itv show per single now.
November 2, 201113 yr I am delighted they have reduced the prices from 19pound on some venues. Lol why do you love them cheapening their brand? Reducing ticket prices is NOT a good thing. Besides, they have definitely sold out some dates. Edited November 2, 201113 yr by Neil
November 2, 201113 yr I'm so going to this. I'm not sure what to expect though. I fear they will be the worst of all of the acts I have seen.
November 2, 201113 yr They really aren't that bad and they've improved massively since their first tour. Obviously they aren't amazing vocally, we know that, neither were Girls Aloud live but they put on a very good show.
November 2, 201113 yr They really aren't that bad and they've improved massively since their first tour. Obviously they aren't amazing vocally, we know that, neither were Girls Aloud live but they put on a very good show. I find that funny because I actually thought they where better vocally on their first tour. Vanessa carried everything and her voice was really powerful. However, on the Headlines tour her voice had deteriorated so there was no room for error and no-one could hide behind her no more. Of course the second someone hit a bum note it stuck out like a sore thumb because it felt like there was no 'lead' singer of the group no more = no amazing adlibs to make up for the bum notes. And I think that even more now. It's great that they all have opportunity to sing, but they need an amazing lead singer. I'm not being horrible or negative but it's well known pop group formula, and it shouldn't really be tampered with.
November 2, 201113 yr Yeah, reducing the prices is NOT a good thing. Not for fans that have already paid a more expensive price imo. Not that I'd be complaining if Britney did the same thing for her Sheffield date on Saturday that isn't sold out and I'd like to attend.
November 10, 201113 yr Rimmel London are the sponsors for the tour. Hopefully, as they are a large brand, this will equate to a great stage show with lots of theatrics etc... If the exclusive piece of merchandise is from the VIP package that is Saturdays branded Rimmel stuff, I WILL NOT BE HAPPY! One thing I do want to see thought is confetti. I'm front row, so I will be guaranteed to catch some, and I would love be at a show, and there is confetti falling. I just think it would look amazing, especially if Higher is the last song, and during the last chorus the confetti falls down. (Perfect tour ending)
November 10, 201113 yr I want pyrotechnics too. :P Hope their entrance is big! They all said they wanted to fly during the show too... will that happen now Una's preggers? Bit risky for her to attempt it wouldn't it? Maybe if they just had some kind of flying platform from the stage to the middle of the arena then back. I wonder what the stage will be like! Hope there's a few costume changes too... I came across some tweets from a lady who had designed some of Girls Aloud's costumes for their Tangled Up and Out of Control tours is designing some costumes for the girls after meeting with them y'day! November 10, 201113 yr I just want EVERYTHING. I've only ever been to see one arena show before (JLS in January), and it's amazing what you can actually do. However, the stage looked tiny, from where I was sitting. I think that the girls realise that the tour is going to ultimately show them as great live artists. It's not everything that they don't sell out the tour, because the main people that will be going are the fans and as long as they are enjoying it, no matter what the haters say. I know I sound really passionate about this, but I can't help it. I think that the girls are awesome, and I just know that the tour, regardless or Vanessa's vocal problems and Una's pregnancy will be a great success, and it will be the first of many arena tours!
November 16, 201113 yr I'd love to know how many tickets they've sold. I'm quite worried tbh, did anyone see the pics from Britney's shows? Can see it happening to them :(
November 16, 201113 yr I must say, with recent events, I can honestly see Frankie doing the first few nights of the tour and then pulling out. If she's as ill as they are making out then she's really not fit to go on tour and she will only realise after she's done a few shows. I remember when Pussycat Dolls toured and Jessica was missing, they had signs outside the venue stating that if she's the reason you came and you didn't want to see the show anymore, you would be offered a refund! Imagine how much they could potentially lose on refunded tickets if Frankie fans turn sour in her absence? Considering she is the second most popular member, that could be disastrous. Still, I am just speculating..
November 16, 201113 yr I wouldn't mind if Frankie wasn't there. I'd be a bit gutted because when I pay money I expect to see all five girls there, and i'm quite OCD and would just cringe whenever someone tried to sing her lines, but i'd rather see a show with four of them rather than just go in a huff and get a refund. At the end of the day they're still human, and even if it was only two members i'd still go because i'm a huge fan and just seeing them in the flesh is amazing. I seen the last year at a gig and they were literally like ten feet away from me. :o I got waved at by all of them and Mollie blew me a kiss and I think I near collapsed with "starstruckness". Regarding the sales, I think a few shows have done well but at the same time alot of arenas are bringing the stage forward to make up for the lack of ticket sales. I think my venue (Glasgow) is fine so i'll be happy. As long as they sing as much of their OWN material as they can (and no Rihanna covers), i'll be happy. What will they use as the video interlude though? The Work tour had flip cam footage and the Headlines tour had the 24/7 footage, please don't tell me we'll be getting the so-called "best bits" of the rubbish 'Behind the Headlines' thing?
November 16, 201113 yr Author I can't wait, they have managed to basically sell out Secc, meaning 13,000 Saturday fans in Scotland!
November 16, 201113 yr At the end of the day, I dont think their going to be overly bothered if they don't sell out most venues. As long as there is a significant increase in ticket sakes compared to the theatre, they'll be happy.
