Its been big enough, bigger then pretty much anyon expected :dance: now its time for Set Fire To The Rain (hopefully) :P

Set Fire To The Rain doesn't even seem like a hit song for me, Someone Like You was massive worldwide as well as Rolling In The Deep but in the UK Set Fire In The Rain didn't even crack top 10.

 

I think it would give her a top 50 position on Billboard Hot 100 though.

Top 50? :rofl: Top 10 at the least without a doubt. Radio would support it like RITD & SLY, and its already broken top 40 on iTunes before. I cant remember where its peaked so far..

Set Fire To The Rain if released first would of been as big as Rolling in the Deep, both scream hit. :wub:

SFTTR is clearly very popular in the US too already as seen by how high its been and how long its been around on the US iTunes without video/radio support. I hope its next, but they may just go on to Rumour Has It for the next worldwide single.

Set Fire to the Rain got released as the 2nd single in most of Europe, and got to #1 in a few countries, so it clearly has potential I think. And it missed the top 10 in the UK, but it's sold more than many of the UK #1s this year, and has been in the top 200 in the charts since February.

 

Apparently Rumour Has It has been confirmed as the 3rd US single though. I guess the only positive of that will be that, FINALLY, the UK and the US will be having the same Adele song at the same time, so that's good in terms of music videos.

SFTTR is selling loads in the USA even without being a single - I really don't know how it's doing as well as it is (currently #64 on iTunes) without a video and with almost nonexistent airplay. I think the demand is fairly obvious. Hopefully Rumour Has It can be another hit anyway, then she can release SFTTR fourth and it could still be pretty big (although it may have sold several hundred thousand copies already by then - in fact it may have already sold a few hundred thousand already now!)

 

To be honest I'm more worried about RHI's success in the UK than the US though. I don't want it to break her top 20 singles streak. It's not very promising that it isn't top 300 on iTunes yet, hopefully it will climb fast when Radio 1's playlisting comes into effect.
