June 12, 201114 yr Oh dear SpaceCowboy wrote So Happy I Could Die & Monster on Gaga's album :( Awful songs!
June 12, 201114 yr Author Oh dear SpaceCowboy wrote So Happy I Could Die & Monster on Gaga's album :( Awful songs! But he has co-produced this one, not sure if he's wrote it. Tim Deal has co-wrote it with Brian Higgins from 'Xenomania' I think.
June 12, 201114 yr Cant wait I'm a huge saturdays fan but hated Notorious, their lead singles always seem to dissapoint me.
June 12, 201114 yr Oh dear SpaceCowboy wrote So Happy I Could Die & Monster on Gaga's album :( Awful songs! If by awful you mean amazing, then you are correct. Starstruck <3
June 12, 201114 yr Author They have a song called 'White Lies'? :) When was this discovered/confirmed? Same situation how we found out about All Fired Up - Twitter. The producers of the track tweeted the girls about recording a track called 'White Lies'. The people who produced Nicole Scherzingers 'Dont Hold Your Breath' have produced it
June 12, 201114 yr If by awful you mean amazing, then you are correct. Starstruck <3 The only thing I didn't like about those 3 songs is the beat wasn't very big - It was quite weak which let the songs down for me :/
June 12, 201114 yr I'm excited to hear this, in my mind it's going to be a massive hybrid of Lady Gaga, Kylie and Girl's Aloud lol It will be interesting to see if they go for OA/OS depending on how Notorious finishes.
June 13, 201114 yr WOW! Sounds like a Ibiza club song. That may indeed be the one that takes them to the next level since Notorious has or will fail. AFU might be big enough to pull up Notorious, itself and the girls.
June 13, 201114 yr I think this is all starting to go a little wrong, their strength lies in making great pop songs, the times they've tried to chase trends have always met with less success, I don't see how this is going to be any different, I know we only have 5 seconds of it, but it really does sound quite poor.
June 13, 201114 yr Author ^^ I agree. Sounds a mess from the 4 second clip IMO. Some more tweets from Tim Deal thedealermusic The Dealer On the neurofen in the studio with @spacecowboy @TobyScott1 and Brian Higgins... 15 hours agothedealermusic The Dealer Still at the studio with @spacecowboy and Brian 'Higgos' Higgins. Getting AFU 13 hours ago thedealermusic The Dealer So the Saturdays have named their tour after their next single. So proud. 3 hours ago
June 13, 201114 yr I'm glad they are changing their sound and getting more involved, it might not be to everyone's tastes but I'm sure everyone wouldn't want them doing 'Up's/Higher/Ego's' for the next 3 years.
June 13, 201114 yr I won't judge on that tiny clip where you can't hear anything clearly, but it does seem like they're abandoning their sound and going down the generic Sweet 7 sort of route :/

But the charts are so full of generic club/party/dance tunes, The Sats really don't need to change their style. They've always been a 100% pop band, and that's why they're so popular. The 'Up' video, the colour thing they did in the first era, songs like Ego/Up/Higher/2am/Lose Control/Open Up/Karma/Puppet are all classic Saturdays fun pop songs. They stand out. Seriously, who else in the charts is doing POP music? Katy Perry, I guess. You could argue Gaga but she's got more of a dance element to her music these days. The charts are dominated by urban/dance, The Sats are simply going to lose all credibility and lose their hardcore fanbase by "selling" out. Notorious is showing they should stick to their own style. :(

Notorious is showing they should stick to their own style. :( They need to move with the times though. They can't be singing Up's forever. Notorious has shown us nothing but a flop decision it was to release it on air/on sale therefore can't really judge their credibility. It's chart perception has warrented it's flop association - it dosen't mean they're loosing their credibility. It could have dominated the chart more if they had released it normally, but they (their management) got a bit too big for their boots. I see where you're coming from, that they shouldn't follow trends, but The Sats hardly have the power to be a trend-setter. They should include some more original elements in their new work I agree, but this is a move in the right direction for them. Notorious just goes to show how imaginative the production is, and how unique the structure has been created - because there is not much else like it.
