They have no more televised promotion, next week will be awful for them aswell, hope airplay majorly picks up now :(

At least we don't have to watch the girls fall from #1 in the mids this week. Holding out for top 5.

I reckon the Sats will be no3 by the end of the week. The sales will be good though and had this been released a few weeks ago when Nero got to no1, it would have easily beat it.

The Sats release weeks are always so stressful haha! I also think they're cursed somehow. :P

 

Hopefully next time they get stronger promotion which lasts throughout the whole week and an easier release week but with healthy sales.

Those sales are brilliant, though, no matter what position.

 

Missing You first midweek sales were on something like 22k I think, and that ended up shifting 56k in the first week overall.

 

Forever Is Over sold 36k in the first week - AFU is doing better than both and has sold 38k in two days! I'm happy for them on the sales front! :D

 

How much did Notorious sell in its first week overall?

 

 

 

I think it's adios to #1 chances but then again I don't think the girls would be too gutted since they knew beforehand they were releasing against big competition and probably realised they had little to no chance of hitting the top spot so I think they'd be happy with top 3/top 5 to be honest. Hopefully Pixie trails off and decreases though.

Saturdays combined may be around 1,000 ahead Of Pixie Lott and around 15,000 ahead of Maroon 5, I think second place is a certainity and even a clip of Jonathan Ross should help it, 60,000+ is looking incredibily likely and I can't believe with mininmal promotion/airplay compared to missing you etc the single is doing so well.

At least the sales will be great, which is the main thing and probably what they needed. Shows there's still plenty of interest in them and relevance. Wonder how Mr Cowell feels at the girls doing better than Leona. :P Maybe now people will sit up and take note of them more since noone expected them to do better than one of or both of them!

Which part isn't official, they're #20 on TV airplay, not #1?

Apparently they're #1 in the rolling chart which makes no sense how they could shoot up like, 400 plays in 2 days.

Would be interesting to know what the #28/#34 sales are. This Midweeks having the B Side title lower down always happens with JLS, and sometimes Olly Murs.

Here are the current midweek positions:

34 The Saturdays [i Need A Dollar] [estimated - about 3k]

 

Basically, they've charted at 2 with AFU on the sales of AFU on the iTunes SINGLE chart. The entry at 27 is the physical copy sales. The entry at 34 is the iTunes EP sales. This has happened a few times in the midweeks with other artists (It always happens with JLS - the physical charts under the bside but by Wed/Thurs they combine it, happened with Olly Murs recently too).

 

SO, combine the sales of all 3 and The Sats are on about 45k - ESTIMATED. They are DEFINITELY on higher than 40,000 at the moment which is amazing. It's highly unlikely they'll hang onto number 1 because Pixie is way ahead on iTunes at the moment, but they're pretty safe at number 2 (Maroon 5 are about 15k behind them)
