June 13, 201114 yr Love The Way You Lie could of had a good amount of weeks at no.1 if it wasn't robbed in every week. What kind of point are you trying to make by purposely using incorrect grammar?
June 13, 201114 yr Had it not been deleted, Gnarls Barkley with "Crazy". Crazy got deleted when it was at number 5
June 13, 201114 yr Crazy got deleted when it was at number 5 It was deleted after its 9 weeks at #1, so it being at 2 and 5 was on downloads only. (Songs were allowed to chart on downloads only for 2 weeks after the physical was deleted). Had the physical still been available it would probably have had a couple more weeks at #1.
June 13, 201114 yr What kind of point are you trying to make by purposely using incorrect grammar? That you would point it out.
June 13, 201114 yr Lady Gaga - Just Dance - could have spent 7 weeks at number one if it wasn't for Lily Allen - The Fear
June 13, 201114 yr Imagine all the number ones Kylie would have if there weren't all those number ones ahead of her :P
June 13, 201114 yr Last year, if every song was on air, on sale, OMG and Love the Way You Lie in particular would've had longer runs at #1 I think. I think OMG was beaten to #1 by Scouting For Girls and Diana Vickers or something, who, let's face it, would've never gotten to #1 if they weren't frontloaded. Although the frontloaded songs can be good. I would've been tearing my hair out if OMG was #1 for 4 or 5 weeks.
June 13, 201114 yr Imagine all the number ones Kylie would have if there weren't all those number ones ahead of her :P 19 Number Ones!! 20 if you count Band Aid 2!
June 13, 201114 yr If we are allowed tracks that spent zero weeks at number one and reached number 2 then "I swear' by All for One would have reached number one were it not for 'Love is all Around' by Wet Wet wet. Seven weeks which I'm pretty sure is the record for consectutive weeks at no.2. We also have 'I'm too Sexy' by Right said Fred spending 6 weeks behind 'Everything I do I do it for you' by Bryan Adams.
June 13, 201114 yr I think Jessie J "Price Tag" could have had a 6 week run at #1 if Adele didn't come along at the time. What other #1s could have had longer chart runs at #1 Ironically, Adele 'Someone Like You' could've spent 6 weeks at #1 had Nicole Scherzinger 'Don't Hold Your Breath' peaked at #2 when released.

But I mean, SFG, if it was on air, on sale, would've have a chart run more like 57-36-25-12-8-9-6-4-4-8-12-etc. I would imagine. Which would've left OMG at #1 at least that one week (although OMG wasn't actually on air, on sale either, but it was only held back a couple of weeks, as opposed to the usual 2 months, hence how it debuted in the chart kind of high but not really high I guess). But you're right, it's hard to speculate. Although I think we can all be sure Once wouldn't have got there! Once got its radio premiere on New Year's Day actually, so probably would've come and gone by the time OMG was released if Once was on air, on sale. But again, massive speculation.
June 13, 201114 yr That you would point it out. Well I'm not going to when it's clear you're only doing it to p*** me off.

June 13, 201114 yr If the Haiti earthquake hadn't happened, not only would Fireflies had a 4th week at #1, but You've Got The Dirtee Love would have been at the top the week after. Also, Rihanna would have got a #1 from Russian Roulette without Children In Need. I guess that's a bit more #2 singles that were close on missing out on #1. Also, Hips Don't Lie. Didn't that spend ages at #2 as well as it's split run at #1?

Yeah, that is strange. And quite late in the year aswell, OMG was still the YTD #2. The song just didn't seem that big in real life to be honest, but its sales figures suggested otherwise! :o

The song just didn't seem that big in real life to be honest, but its sales figures suggested otherwise! :o Quite honestly, I'd never heard OMG until listening to the End-Of-Year chart. At least not that I remember. I am thankful that I was spared that long.

Hips Don't Lie's Top 3 chart run went like: 3-2-1-2-2-3-1-1-1-1-2-2 If that 3 in the middle of that chart run was a 2, and then the 2's were changed to a 1, then it would have spent 11 consecutive weeks at number one!
