They will not be performing on This Morning on monday :( Anyway they have one more live performance (Lorraine) and will be on Daybreak (Interview & a clip will no doubt be showing). Graham Norton repeat should also be really effective, even more so than Friday's effect as people from Glastonbury (who missed it) will watch it and Alan Carr is not clashing with it! I hope they do manage to climb up to #13 on iTunes.

Anyone got any updates on what other versions of Notorious are in top 1000?

 38 on the radio from 49! Hopefully it keeps climbing as radio's must be noticing it's climbing! Imo it should still be going higher!

 26 on Video Airplay was 23 last week!

Not really getting good support but the video airplay hasn't dropped a significant much but i'm hoping somehow both manage to get a new peak!

Good promotion? They have preformed it on TV 3 times so far. I think Missing You was preformed about 4 times that when it was physicaly released. Pretty much all there other singles have had alot more promotion than Notorious. Just reading this thread there just seams to be massive swings between certian people thinking this is going really well and then this is going really badly.

Yes they've had good promotion. They've performed it on two prime-time TV shows (So You Think You Can Dance? and Graham Norton) as well as smaller shows on T4, CBBC, and Lorraine. What more can they do?

Missing You was a completely different campaign so there's no point comparing it, and they were aiming for #1 with Missing You which was not realistically achievable with Notorious being on air/on sale and them planning the magority of the promo around the physical release - bad decisions.

I thought it was interesting that The Wanted's management asked their label not to do 'OA/OS' for 'Glad You Came'. Hopefully the label will not make the same mistake twice with the Sats. I think they've managed to just get away with it this time but it's not been a roaring success. It could be because of OA/OS or because the song is just not very good imo

^^ Are you sure they won't do this again. If it reaches 200k they'll do OA/OS again.

If it doesn't, they still might - I mean, they have made some mistakes in the past.

Also, where the hell are these Irish dates for the tour ?

Glad You Came is #16 already on Airplay!

After reading an article on OA/OS a few days ago it's made me realise how the system does work and how artists are cheating it by still using the old method. It can work as long as the campaign is executed properly, which Notorious was untill they decided to leave the promo untill the physical release which was a massive mistake. This cost them their airplay as it looked like it was bombing down the charts, only to rise up again when the physical had been released.

They were treating this as a post-album single which I presume is why they left the promo untill it'a "interest peak" which is when they think the most buzz around the single will be out there. They got it totally wrong as the buzz was there the week they released it digitally and went Top 10. The buzz died off after radios and music channels saw this dropping down the charts and had already labelled it as a flop before the promotion had even started.

Acts like The Wanted and JLS are only using the old method because they know that their music will not make as much impact if they did OA/OS. At least The Sats have gave it a go and are following with the times. I'm not saying Notorious would have done much better if they didn't do OA/OS, the sales would have maybe been similar but it would have dropped anyway like all their other first singles. At least Notorious is still climbing..

Irish dates announced tomorrow!

Odyessey is massive :o A bit ambitious but I hope both sell out!

I think 'ambitious' pretty much sums up this tour :P It IS an arena tour after all...

They're populariy is 28.1% and 1.4% behind Tinchy Stryder & Dappy. Should maybe go #17 tonight and should be around #16 after promotion tomorrow and hopefully climb more after repeat of Graham Norton.

Something that really frustrated me with the Saturdays is the themselves.

If they took time to tell all their followers on twitter that Chipmunk version was avaliable, not a RT. Also i think it would help if they told their followers that each version of Notorious 59p it should gain them a couple of hundrend of downloads!

Anyway back to Notorious itself it's comfortably ahead of #15 on IRISH Itunes and closing in on 14th, so expect a new Irish peak this week.

13. Bruno Mars - The Lazy Song 35.6%

14. Nicki Minaj - Superbass 34.6%

15. Rihanna - California King Bed 33.3%

16. Jennifer Lopez - I'm Into You 31.3%

17. Tinchy Stryder & Dappy - Spaceship 29.5%

18. The Saturdays - Notorious 28.1%

19. Black Eyed Peas - Don't Stop The Party 27.3%

7.5% behind a place I think is very possibile depending on how far they are behind tommorow after Daybreak,Lorraine and Graham Norton(Repeat)
