He dissed Gaga, Katy Perry and Justin Bieber. I'm waiting for the day when they go into rehab/frightened out of chart music

He didn't really diss any of them. He just mentioned them/made jokes about them in a song. He's said much worse things about Nicole Scherzinger and Rihanna, for example (and then collabs with her lol). The three I mentioned (particulary Christina and Mariah) were like arguements that lasted for years and got quite personal and offensive tbh. He said he likes Lady Gaga anyway.

And he didn't diss Justin Bieber. He said "beaver". He was doing a pun with "damn".

Example hates On the Floor aswell though. Just before Unorthodox entered the charts he said it's one of the most generic songs he ever heard.

If he was a member on Buzzjack he'd probably be more hated than I am.

The Saturdays didn't write the lyrics, so he should have a got at the people who DID write the lyrics, not The Saturdays. It's not their fault.

But he didn't say anything bad about The Saturdays? "The Saturdays 'Notorious' says "im a gangsta on the dancefloor" this suggests they just stand there in sunglasses holding a champagne bottle" "Everytime I hear the line "get on the floor" in a modern pop song I think to myself "that's genius, how do they come up with this stuff?""

I don't see how either are saying anything bad about them in particular? The first is a funny observation, the other is just discontent about the terrible state of generic mainstream music.

Re: Example Twitter....

Do we really need this spilling over in here, its got nothing to do with this thread.

Neither is more than half of what's discussed in here. Does it really matter? There are plenty of other iTunes threads without all the crap!

I appreciate you Eric !

Well I guess you're right :P

Back on topic, has that Jason Derulo went up more positions yet? Hope not, awful rip-off between 3 songs song :puke2:

Up to 3, badman riddim still stuck at 17 :(

Yeah, it is funny tbh. But is it that big a deal. Nobody else cares (well, not nobody, but you know what I mean ).

And generic beats is MUCH MUCH worse than generic lyrics. You can forgive generic lyrics easily, because the song still sounds good. In pop songs, I pay little attention to the lyrics anyway. I had no clue that Notorious had a lyric saying "get on the floor" in it.

The point is it doesn't, but Saturdays stans being Saturdays stans took offence to it anyway! :manson:

Generic lyrics are much worse than generic music. The lyrics are the heart of the song. That's why I appreciate songs like 'Thinking of You', 'Happy' and 'Because of You' and despise songs like 'Start Without You', 'Notorious' and 'Don't Wanna Go Home'. -_-

03. Jason Derulo - Don't Wanna Go Home

13. Katy Perry - Last Friday Night

17. Vato Gonzales - Badman Riddim

34. Foster The People - Pumped up Kicks (This really has stalled)

44. Parade - Perfume

59. SoundGirll - Don't Know Why

Lee wallace Example started a argument with Alexandra then Rochelle got involved he didn't start it with rochelle

And he diudn't even start one with Aex tbh - she just had a sense of humour bypass [same as Rochelle]

Wonder if Jason will get to the top spot... or Example for the 3rd week would be better

1) Don't mock me.

2) I can't help but cringe at someone preferring Dev's latest piece of $h!t and BEP's rip-off to brilliant songs such as 'Poker Face' (and if many remember my posts in early '09, they will know that it wasn't my favourite song).

You despise 'Start Without You'? Wasn't the single cover your signature for a good few months?

I didn't mean to mock you. :D I just meant it's opinion. You like some songs, and hate some songs. And I like some songs, and hate some songs.

Poker Face is honestly one of the worst songs I've ever heard in my life. Seriously. It's just so boring and generic. I don't find it interesting, I don't find it funny. The beat does nothing for me. I feel absolutely no emotions when I listen to the song. Just so boring. And it sounds the same as Just Dance to me, which didn't help matters. :puke:

And you can say "Oh, but it was only such a big hit because the public really liked the song". But you have to apply exactly that same logic to The Time, for example.

You despise 'Start Without You'? Wasn't the single cover your signature for a good few months?

No, Rebecca Black's Friday says it :P . I wouldn't mind Friday with a different set of lyrics compared to the beat tbh.
