He's done a few bits and bobs, good actor. Not bad on the eye either.

Is it just me, or within the last week has Eastenders gone from super dull to hilarious and actually quite gripping? I mean where have Jean and Cora been the last few weeks?

And I'm glad Tanya's kept up on Jack's relationship with Amy even if most of the writers haven't.

Brilliant episode tonight :D Tanya's scenes have been pretty traumatic recently; Jo is such a fantastic actor, and I thought Abi was really good as well in her scenes in the launderette, which I think is a first.
Eastenders is on tonight at 7:30pm, my guess its making up for last week. (CIN - Friday)
Tonight's episode made me cryyyy. The Brannings (obviously mainly Tanya/Lauren/surprisingly Abi!) are keeping this shit togetheerrr.
What an amazing episode, the way the secrets slowly kind of.. unfolded throughout the episode. Everything was so well done, and Abi was actually at her peak tonight, and I've always been one of her biggest criticisers.
I don't even think I need to state the obvious but that episode is the reason why EastEnders is the greatest soap ever made. Jo Joyner must win every Best Actress award going.

Tonight's episode was perfect. My favourite episode since at least Christmas 2010. I was actually getting emotional towards the end of Tanya's chat with Cora. Unbeatable drama.

The later episodes this week have been fantastic and a good reminder why eastenders is such a popular show, simon ashdown of course was part of thw writing which is always clear to see as the scripts are always strong when he is involved, the performances from Jo in particular have been brilliant and i agree she deserves a few awards for it, i always like Jo as an actress and although she has won 1 soap award in the past i always feel she deserves alot more.

I thought last week's episodes were very strong. I watched the entire omnibus and it was a slog but it was very good drama with some moments that really touched me. There's almost nothing I would criticise - I thought it was all done VERY well.

Anyone else LOVING Derek? There's something about him - he's so slimy but you just know he has the capacity to f*** everybody up. It's not often you see people like Pat, Carol, Michael and Roxy intimidated. I'm waiting for him to slap Phil dahn.

I havnt made my mind up about Derek yet, i think he will be someone i will lov eor hate in time though. We need a new hardman in the show as Phil just doesnt cut the mustard anymore, i have enjoyed Phil over the years but the hardman stuff just doesnt work anymore at all for me.
Yesterday's episode was a comedown for last week-what court would EVER give Jack rights to a child? And the Masoods bored me to tears. I did like Yusef, but the fact that he's no longer subtle and everyone still falls for it all is annoying.

He's yet another "intentionally horrible" character that has been introduced to EastEnders in the past year... First Michael, then Yusef, and now Derek. All whilst Phil Mitchell is still there...

Is anyone else getting bored of EastEnders in general? I for one definitely have - there's far too much focus on the Masood's story, which is just boring now. Are they planning on filming the whole family in Pakistan or something?

LOL they don't actually GO to Pakistan. Who in soap who ever plans to make a new start somewhere actually achieves it? Anyway the Masood storyline will be all wrapped up by the new year so you don't have much more to suffer although after a long lull I think it's picking up again now. I really enjoyed Afia's involvement in it the past couple of eps. She's severely underused but she's a good little character who can do comedy and drama equally well.

The Kat and Alfie stuff last night was just awful though. I wish they'd axe Kat already.

Im also hating the masoods story and cant wait for it to be wrapped up, i think the show is in a bit of a lull the last few weeks with the exception of the branning week which i loved, especially the tanya and max scenes and the cora scenes. Its the first year in a long time im not overaly excited about the christmas storylines but i will still be watching as im secretly hoping they will be better than im expecting.
Rainie had a great exit, no big drama, just a packet of fags and 55 quid in hand :D very fitting! I'll miss her. Hopefully she'll drift in and out in future.
